MCU vs thread....controversy and chaos

Carnage vs Hulk:

Unless Carnage is somehow several orders of magnitude more powerful than Venom from the first movie, Hulk. Yes, even if its the relatively weak TIH version pictured. This is about as fair as Spider-man vs Thor, and for about the same reason- they just aren't operating on the same power level. Or even adjacent power levels.

Vision wins. Next up:

Who you got peeps?

Hulk smash. Carnage would be able to do just enough to piss him off.

:hmm

Ok now I'm curious but has Spiderman ever went up against Thor? I know he has went up against Cap, Hulk and IronMan but.................Thor?

Star-Lord

Can't hit what you can't touch. Then again, we haven't seen what Doc Ock is capable of doing with his nanotech upgrade in NWH.

Thor vs Spider-man:

Well, its like I said. Nothing Peter can do will matter, because he is utterly incapable of effecting Thor in any way. His only hope is that Thor got bored waiting for the fight to start and decided to take a nap in the arena. This won't let Spider-man *harm* Thor in any way, mind, but at least he can do something like draw a mustache on his face or something. *cough*

Doc Ock vs Peter Quill:

The day would go very badly for Starlord if Doc Ock got within reach. . . however, Peter Quill has no good reason to ever let Doc Ock get within reach. He has rocket boots, fairly buff blaster pistols, and a functioning brain. This combo is called "I fly a couple hundred feet up and just keep shooting at the other guy from outside his effective combat range". Even being as generous to Doc Ock as possible, he is going to miss a block/dodge long before he hits Starlord with some thrown object. . . and that is being generous and assuming that his tentacles will neither be damaged by "able to put Korath flat on his back" energy damage, nor will conduct "looks an awful lot like electricity" stun damage.

If we're talking Spidey 2 Doc Ock then STAR LORD wins with ease.
Based on trailers of No Way Home I'm under the impression it doesn't take long for Holland Spidey to subdue him (it will definitely tick a lot of those who consider Spider-Man 2 an excellent film with an all around awesome and threatening antagonist), so I will again go with STAR LORD on this one.

He kept mocking Thor in one issue before teaming-up with him, but I don't think I've seen him engage him in physical confrontation.

Its been a lot of decades, I'm sure Spider-man has "fought" Thor at *some* point. Pretty much every recognizable character has fought every other recognizable character. Its just a tossup over whether the fight was "not really a fight", "had some special fudge factor in play", or "possessed terrible writing on par with the infamous Spider-man vs Firelord comic".

( Actually, two characters as high profile as this, they've probably had all three at least once each. . . )

Green Goblin vs Cap:

Same as last time- Cap takes it more often than not. Setting aside the Magic Arbitrary Disintegrate Grenade, Norman is basically a guy in Steve's weight class, who is less skilled, and dependent on ranged attacks that come in two varieties: "ammo limited" and "can be shield reflected back into my face". The majority of the time, Norman is going to run out of ammo and/or get knocked out of the air by a reflected energy blast well before Steve is too injured to take him out in melee.

Tobey's Peter endured a grenade to the face and all he experienced is bleeding a bit and getting tired, I'm sure MCU Steve can endure the same punishment.

I'm with TEAM CAP

This should be interesting with both opponents firing from a distance........

I'll give Norman a vote on this one and go GREEN GOBLIN.

Starlord vs Green Goblin:

Again, same as last time. :p Norman is physically more powerful, but its not going to matter, Starlord is going to win the majority of the time. They are both flying ranged gadget users, but Peter Quill is generally more skilled, more intelligent, and has more firepower. Norman's strength and durability advantages won't really matter, because Starlord isn't going to get into a punching contest, and his blasters pack more than enough punch to punch Norman's ticket.
