OT but just saw What if episode 3. I don't want to spoil anything but THAT is how Loki should have been shown in his series! He has never gone all the way out but that gave us glimpses of how powerful he is.

Yup. Totally agree. That sure as hell wasn't the Loki we got in his own ****ing series ! Don't get me started on how **** that was.....

I watched a review for that show, and once it showed a clip of how Loki met Owen Wilson I was like; "I'm out".

Mate, you saved yourself some serious disappointment- not only does the Loki series ruin Loki as a character , but it makes the entire MCU before it absolutely meaningless. It's awful, the only good things in it were Classic Loki and Alligator Loki.

What really hurts my soul is the huge number of people who apparently watched it with their brains turned off and liked what they did with the character - and don't understand how Loki became a secondary character in his own show, how the TVA taking away free will means the Avengers meaningless and .......I could write a small novel about everything wrong with it.

I believe you, and the state of storytelling for these shows leaves me worried for how Moon Knight (been wanting a show for this character since an announcement was made for one in 2006) and She-Hulk shows will be like.

Mate, I rewatched a bit of Defenders today couldn't believe how good it was compared to this year's **** from Disney plus.

Someone recently pointed out some very damning
flaws in Cap TWS. I love that movie, but they're right ! There are a bunch of things that are ridiculous about that film, but the Russos do a great job of covering it up with good pacing and strong character work.

However, despite its flaws TWS is the Godfather compared to Black Widow. It's like everyone with
creative talent bailed after Far From Home. Oh well, fingers crossed for No Way Home.

I picked Killmonger, but I do recognize that, even with a vibranium suit, it might still be possible to get squoosed if enough force were applied.

I mean, sure, if he were fighting someone way brickier than the Lizard. Its just, the Lizard isn't the Hulk. The Lizard isn't even a mid tier brick like a nameless Asgardian or typical Starktech armor. The Lizard is maybe marginally brickier than Spider-man.

Spider-man, every time. The fact that Deadpool will eventually heal only means that Peter doesn't need to restrain himself as much. Though simply leaving him in a thoroughly webbed up ball, with a web gag on his mouth to shut him up, would work just fine. A Deadpool that can't continue fighting is a Deadpool who has lost the fight.

Don't do it man! Don't do it!! Don't me go off on this show again! That was not Loki at all and I can't believe people actually loved that show! The only thing I liked was the last episode with Kang showing up. I didn't expect that.

I think/hope Moon Knight is safe because he is a darker character anyway but as I have stated in numerous threads, I'm just not sold on Marvel's phase 4. Covid or not, Shang Chi and especially Eternals was going to underperform but people will ride with that excuse. The Fox characters should have been fast tracked instead of being pushed back to the end of the phase. Blade as well. But I digress............I won't go on my rant but time will tell.

Nah THAT was the real Loki in that What if episode! That is how he should have been portrayed a lot more in his own show. He was bad ass and made another hero look like an ant...........pun intended. The way he fought, used his magic and even taunted him..............that was Loki!!

Yeah that’s what I was saying. What we got instead was the alternative MCU Loki (who I still love regardless) being even more alternative than usual, but it would be amazing to see the What If Loki come to life on screen. It looks like it’s impossible to get rid of Loki even through death and other means, which hopefully gives more chances that we see the WI version one day.

Come on you hater, wasn't it awesome how Sylvie was such a great Loki that she didn't even use the name Loki - she escaped the TVA, as a child, by stepping on someone's foot, wins every fight ( especially against Loki,who gets beaten up even by humans ) and leads him around like a clueless ******* the whole series. And even when she's not around all Loki can do is talk about how great she is.

Awesome writing - almost as good as having Loki use magic to make a blanket appear, because he's cold....EVEN THOUGH HE'S A ****ING FROST GIANT !!!!

See, best if no one mentions that show, ever.

Mind you, if you hated Loki in the Avengers films well then it's definitely the show for you.

Wanda vs Sylvie:

Wanda should take this most of the time, due to having a serious power advantage. I'd say Wanda 9/10, the remaining one going to Sylvie because she managed to sneak her way into a backstab of some kind. She is a Loki, after all, and Wanda would not want to get within stabbing range of her.

( For the record, I'd say a fight between Wanda and "normal" Loki would be much more competitive. Wanda still has a major power advantage, but Loki has a lot more skill and experience with the kind of magic that would let him get that backshot, and Wanda is still a glass cannon. )
