I think we can all agree his most well known role including as captain America would be his role in “not another teen movie”

Captain America is his most well-known role. Way more people has seen him as Cap in the MCU than they’ve seen “Not Another Teen movie”.

All of a sudden I have questions about what they're gonna do with Wolverine's mask. Almost everyone in the MCU who wears something on their head (short of Captain America and Daredevil) eventually upgrades to headgear that completely disappears and reappears at a thought. Doesn't really seem like Wolverine's style, but then I'm like, "Could the wings of the mask like fold up or..." and now I can't sleep.

They only hire actors who played Johnny Storm. :p

Jokes aside, both Evans and Jordan weren't iconic in their FOX roles. So while I do see them hiring actors like Hoult, for instance, I don't see them hiring actors like Stewart, Jackman, McAvoy, etc...

But, who knows...
I
I never want to see Nicholas Hoult in a comic book movie ever again. He was flatter than diet coke in Tolkien. He ruined The Beast.
Hoult did not write the script or direct the movie. Beast was not his fault. The hate for the FC actors here Is completely irrational. They are damn good actors. Kinberg and Singer deserve the blame not them

Those headgears are usually full on helmets attached to some kind of high level techno based gear or armor. The Stark armors, Pym's Ant-Man/Wasp suits, the Shuri designed BP suit, ans the Iron Spider suit fall within that category. But as you noted, Cap didn't have that, the CW BP suit didn't and the first costume Tony gave Peter were all more in the classical idea of mask/cowl type wear.

If they decide to give Wolverine or any of the X-Men masks I think they would go with something more in the second group.

No he didn’t write the script and no he didn’t come up with the very un-Hank McCoy lines, we already have people to blame for that not the least of whom are Singer and Kinberg. But Hoult (and JLaw) also has some hilariously terrible acting in these movies and some really bad reaction shots. McAvoy has some bad lines too, his showdown with Apocalypse comes to mind, but James makes it work.

If the choice was to bring Hoult over to the MCU or not, based on this role I would go for “not.” You can scream to the high heavens how Nick is a damn good actor, but his performance as Beast would put that in doubt.

Yes he’s a good actor based on better roles. But he’s not reliable in a way McAvoy is.

There are certain actors that can carry a film even if the script is poor or they weren't given much to do and not be one of the problems of the films. Nicholas Hoult isn't one of those actors. Halle Berry as Catwoman, Kate Mara as Invisible Woman, Chris Evans as the Human Torch, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman (the Snyder films)... I thought they were pretty good in their respective ròle despite the film they've appeared in not being so great, and the bad dialogues/scenes that they needed to do.

Also Jlaw was given a lot of material but she looked bored in Apocalypse and some said she was phoning it in.

Nonsense, everyone will remember him as patriotically putting a banana in america’s ass long after they’ve forgotten about cap

I am 100% sure Silvermoth was being facetious.

Bingo ;)

I love the banana split scene!

Oh man is that a good scene

Keanu as Wolverine? I wouldn't mind if they made Wolverine older to cast Keanu.

Completely the wrong body type but between Storm and Wolverine, it's great that these roles and characters are still sought after by actors.

Didn't people say that about Hugh Jackman though?

Yes and it's still a valid point. Feige has shown us he isn't shy about going in a totally different direction from previous iterations of other studio's characters.

Keanu would be pretty different tho. Hes fliterted with Marvel Studios at least twice before so I wouldn't be surprised if his name was in the mix again.

Different? Yes. Closer to the comics that Hugh wasn't. That's a no. Why go with a Keanu Wolverine when you can go for a comic-accurate Wolverine?

I hope they find another Hugh Jackman to play Logan. And by that I mean an unknown actor.

Does it really matter if the casting is not entirely comic accurate? You gotta have some leeway when adapting source material.

Well I just told you it matters to me. I bet I'm not alone in that.

I have no power over what YOU want.

Not even taking Into account Keanu's age, his body type and stature are all wrong for the part. Yes, the tall "leading man" thing worked for Hugh but I hope they go the opposite direction. A Wolverine that's closer to the comics in presentation would go a long way in differentiation & Keanu would be Jackman 2.0

I'm gonna take the unpopular stance and say I don't ever see them finding the perfect comic-accurate Wolverine actor if for no other reason than the height and build, and that's fine with me tbh. Even Dougray Scott, the guy some insist was the better choice than Jackman, was still a solid 6 feet.

But that said, I'd prefer an unknown. I do want Keanu in the MCU at some point, though.

I still support the idea of Milo Gibson under the stipulation he keeps improving as an actor, if we have to wait 5 years to see wolverine. If it was now I'd cast Alden Ehnreich because hes ripe and fits the bill. But back on Gibson... Hes young at 28, gruff looking, short at 5'9, with a build like his dad's.

Of course theres no actor who's like 5'2, the right age, the right look etc. But you get a guy who's under 6ft by a couple inches. And surround him by some taller actors and play with angles and you'll have an appropriately short wolverine for on screen.
