Marvel Films MCU X-Men - Part 4

Bringing back X-Men to Marvel was well-argued we will see more comic accurate versions, so no for cast like Janelle Monae. She's shorter than Berry, and Storm was tall in comic.
This time I want to see short Wolverine, tall Cyclops and Storm, the real leaders of X-Men.

a Magneto movie, Brotherhood show, Mystique Hulu series, Juggernaut tv show, and more?
Just big no to those.

Its called the X-Men, not the X-Villains. I also don't want a Dr. Doom film.

Villains are important but I don't need them headlining their own films/tv series. Venom, First Class, Apocalypse, Days of Future Past, Dark PhoeniX, Morbius, Loki and Venom 2 are enough. Dc could continue making villain films but I don't care about Dc films.

Hopefully they don't.

That doesn't make any sense.

And given how the audience took big time to Thanos and the big BO success of Joker and Venom then one would be gullible to think Marvel Studios is not going to have TV shows and/or movies focused on villains. Loki is but the start.

The X-Men aren't about Villains. Get it? The X-Men are superheroes. Not the bad Mutants club.

And I don't care if Venom and Joker were successful at the boX office... any comicbook character could achieve successful box office results, depending on either marketing or quality or both or for other reasons. As for Marvel films, I just prefer having the spotlight on the heroes. So give me the 3rd Fantastic Four reboot, Nova, rebooted Daredevil film, rebooted Iron Fist film, rebooted Inhumans, the rebooted X-Men, Black Knight solo film over a film/tv show focusing on Dr. Doom, Loki, Magneto or whoever Marvel villains out there.

And as for Thanos, he didn't headline a solo film. Infinity War and Endgame are Avengers movies, not Thanos movies.

Infinity War is more of a Thanos movie than First Class, Days of Future Past or Apocalypse are villain movies. Apocalypse in particular was about one step above a cardboard cutout - in no way the star of the movie.

First Class/Apocalypse/Days of Future Past/Dark PhoeniX aren't villain films... however those movie were basically a Xavier/Erik/Raven show and two/thirds of those are X-Villains. Thats the point. I didn't mention them since I thought it was a given because of how much I complained about Erik and Raven dominating the last four X-Men movies. They were really less about the X-Men even if the Wolverine got a meaty role in Days of Future Past and the PhoeniX in Dark PhoeniX. So future X-movies should really focus more on the team.

Storm's height is likely to be the least of many people's concerns. The priority is to get a talented beautiful dark skin black actress in the role (none of this biracial, light skin nonsense).

Whoever Marvel choses to play Storm, I just hope it's there's no ****show online towards the actress, with people denying other people's racial identity and other ugly stuff.

The X-Men is but a subset of mutantdom, Feige implied as much. Get it or is it too difficult a concept to grasp?

Disney is not going to go, "Did pylockolussus care if Venom and Joker were BO successes"? They are going to look at the bottom line and the bottom line is villains are making money. You sure do want a lot of reboots though as opposed to new properties. Don't worry though with 4 movies and 4+ TV shows every year I am sure they have enough for both.

Look at Thanos before IW and after IW. Then check his popularity before IW and after IW. You are being disingenuous if you don't think his popularity exploded after it and the GA didn't take to him in droves.

There is a key factor you seem to miss:

Marvel doesnt follow trends. They create the trends.

so it doesnt matter if Warner or any other studio create 20 villain movies, Marvel and Feige will do what he wants, not what other studios want.

I don't think Marvel will go for a biracial actress this time around. Feige/Marvel doesn't have the same problem as Fox with darker skinned characters

Nope.

And clearly you did not read my post as I mentioned Nova and Black Knight..... and as if Dr. Doom, Magneto and the villains you probably want to suggest to headline a solo film/show hasn't appeared yet and are considered "new ips". So yeah just no to all to what you just said.

I think it'd be neat if Xavier has been hiding mutants with mental blocks this whole time, even hiding mutants from themselves. And Strucker just "unlocked" their powers. That way it's not a full retcon of how Wanda and Pietro got their powers...just a soft one.

It would also explain how they were the only two to survive, because nobody else Strucker did stuff to were mutants.
Can he do that? I think that will require a lot of concentration

He probably would need the assistance of other telepaths/mutants and I guess a machine like the Cerebro to do that.

Xavier doesn't need to have been telepathicallly hiding the existence of mutants for Wanda and Pietro to have been mutants all along. Just say nobody had discovered the existence of mutants yet, except a few people with obvious reasons why they wouldn't tell anyone else (like Xavier, Wolverine, etc).

I'm still hoping for an X-Men: Evolution-inspired Storm for the MCU, i.e. one of the leaders / headmaster with Charles. Put a woman at the head of the X-Men, and Cyclops can be the field leader.

I've thrown Janelle Monae's name out there, but Cynthia Erivo has been on my radar too, and given her awards buzz, she might be the high-caliber talent on the rise that the MCU likes to recruit.

Mutants exist on every corner of the globe, within every country, in every culture-- They are active, non suspecting members of normal human society... Until one day, they are not. There is no monolithic "mutant community" that can collectively disappear from normal human perception because they are spontaneously random mutations. Somebody in Wakanda can become a mutant.

It's the equivalent of contracting the Flu. Now imagine if the symptoms of the Flu was shooting fire from your palms and causing mini earthquakes

Just say nobody had discovered the existence of mutants yet, except a few people with obvious reasons why they wouldn't tell anyone else (like Xavier, Wolverine, etc).

If no-one labelled them as such before, then Wanda and Pietro wouldn't have been seen as mutants until someone starts calling them that and it becomes more widespread.

Idea for how Magneto could be handled in the MCU:

What if we open the first X-Men movie on the original 5's last mission. This mission being, stopping Magneto and his Brotherhood (This is how we can establish characters like Toad, Pyro, Avalanche, Destiny etc) basically an opening 8-minute action sequence to establish this world being an adaptation of this

Things go haywire quickly as the X-Men ultimately defeat the Brotherhood but at the cost of Charles losing his legs and Erik ending up mindwiped as "You left me no choice, Erik." -- Some members of the Brotherhood are taken into custody by the covert SHIELD, others slip out away- and the original 5 disband with some members sticking around the Mansion (Scott)

Title screen> 'The Uncanny X-Men''

Taking a page out of UXM- Charles and the X-Men visit Erik later on in the movie and he's a mild-mannered father raising his daughter, Lorna. Completely unaware of his past aspirations. So what we have is an Erik who is essentially a ticking time bomb, building him up over multiple films to build hype. His "snap" can be saved for the final movie of the trilogy where he goes full Fatal Attractions.

I donot like the idea at all! I really don't want to see Magneto again in the neXt movie. Like its going to be 8th X-Men movie and he's gonna appear in a X-Men team film for the 8th consecutive time? Even the Wolverine was absent in Dark PhoeniX.

Seriously give him a break. The rogues gallery of the X-Men is humungous.

@Marvel united I really REALLY like that. Get Moira somehow involved with the mindwipe and it would be a pretty perfect adaptation of 90s Magneto.
That would be wonderful! I imagine Moira being an active, integral member to the X-Family, especially the O5.

And speaking of 90s Magneto, we could also get a recreation of these iconic shots

In this opening sequence just to establish the tone and mood for this film

Magneto simply appearing does not mean he will be the focus of the film. What it serves to do is address the elephant in the room ("Where is Magneto") and establish Erik's place in this franchise so they *can focus on other storylines and villains in the meantime- while also planting the seeds for future installments for when Marvel is ready to do Magneto again. It's setup with the potential for payoff. Think about it in terms of how it can be practically applied to a story/franchise.

And Happy holidays, everyone!

I'm super happy we're getting at least 3 superhero movies led by a female character next year. And hopefully there'll be more moving forward.

But... who is Black Widow after that WW84 trailer?

So if they ever get Storm a solo movie, I hope she gets an epic treatment like that.
