Marvel Films MCU X-Men - Part 4

When it comes to Esposito, although he's also known as villains, there's something about his voice, and the way he talks... an eloquence, a calmness, serenity, stuff I'd attribute more to Charles.

Cranston was freaking out all the time :p
Yeah, very much agreed. I think he has some Xavier in him.

Cranston as Prof X and Giancarlo as Magneto.

How we feeling?
I think Cranston mentioned wanting to play Sinister. He’s shown he can be a great villain but I might need to see more, but can see Giancarlo easily as either Xavier or Magneto.

I was rewatching this scene, and damn... that's so important to me (and to so many people).

I really, really wish the MCU X-Men will be as queer as possible because they take a lot from our experience.

And damn, X2 is so good, I have to rewatch it.

Guys...hear me out, what if for Magneto we try something different?

LMAO, shut up, Kane.

Does anyone else think it's wild how all of these actors keep coming out in interviews like, "I've had talks with Marvel Studios...!!!!" Damn, everyone wants a piece of the Marvel pie.

Everybody keeps talking Cillian as Dr. Doom, but I'm over here thinking he might make an amazing Xavier

I think the point of any new version, whether it be Gincarlo, or Cillian, is to do something different. There are a lot of different versions of Xavier from the comics; lot of different routes they can go to make the MCU version their own.

Its kinda weird but i like how in the MCU world the X-Men or Mutants began to appear after the original Avengers retired or died yes its sad that Wolverine will never meet Ironman or Captain America (well maybe he is still can but Steve is getting old) but at least he will meet Spiderman and other heroes i feel like its the beginning of a new era after the original heroes are not more a new type of heroes will rise that the MCU has never seen before

Some 80s X Men casting

Haha, I really want to go back in time and see this. :D

I really don't understand why Cranston keeps being brought up for Xavier? To be fair though ive never really been a fan, especially with his past homophobic comments being revealed. Not really an ideal fit for a brand that represents fighting for equality.

Brenton Thwaites as Scott
Naomi Scott as Jean
Dev Patel as Hank
John Boyega as Warren
Ryan Potter as Bobby
I can definitely see Thwaites as Cyclops. Would also love to have all the others in there somewhere, but not necessarily for the roles named.

Is there a reason someone's current career should be defined by things they said years ago?

As folks here have been discussing for like the last 860 pages, the casting for a rebooted MCU X-Men franchise has to be as appropriate as the way the characters themselves are written and the relevant mutant themes are portrayed.

Casting someone like, say, Mel Gibson as Xavier kind of defeats that purpose, irrespective of his ability to competently portray the character.

It wasn't even "Things he said" though
It was exactly one comment, that was vaguely s***ty, that he apologized for quite strongly

That said, I'd picture Cranston as a better Sinister than an Xavier
but really, he's the type of Actor Marvel will bring on as a Politician or Military type

Actually, I could see him being a really solid D'Ken of the Shi'ar

Whether you think people can change or not (and i’m not saying they can’t), we know for a fact that many will have a problem with his casting.

Do we really want the X-Mens debut in the MCU to be caught in controversy?

A homophonic slur directed at a gay man is in no way just “vaguely sh***y”. And people genuinely don't use that type of language on a one off basis.
