The Dark Knight Michael Caine updates personal website

Exactly. Wasn't his point though that you shouldn't just jump into agreement with what Caine is saying about Ledger since he's obiously not going to bad mouth his performanece.

Exactly. What you never hear is someone badmouthing someone else DURING production. Now if Caine were to say "Ledga sucked a big fat 'en. I'll nevah work with 'em again!" then you would have reason to sit up and take notice.

LOL, I would pay good money to hear Cain say that exactly as intended, Nevah! Evah!. Even if it weren't true and you were just asking him to tell a lie.

But if he even thought it was average...I'm sure he wouldn't have mentioned it. He would have most probably said "I love working with Christian Bale" or something.

Here's hoping Alfred hits Joker with a golfclub.

(Michael Caine hitting people with golfclubs should become a staple of this series, like Spider-Man's Bruce Campbell cameos:o)

"I hope you're not a membah of the insane clown posse!"

Well, other then the usual interview praising, this is a little different. He wasn't asked what he thinks about Heath's performance. It's his homepage, if he'd think that Heath sucks or his performance is nothing special, he'd have simply said nothing at all about it.

So I believe him on that.

Everybody who has worked with Heath so far, Eckhart, Bale Caine, seem to be praising a formidable and unique performance. I think and I hope we're in for a treat.

That's quite assuring but then again Caine has always been a dignified pro even when he's been a vet in the biz. He's quite a jokester himself.

Some intresting facts

Jack Nicholson and Micheal Caine are the only two actors nominated for an Academy Award for acting (either lead or supporting) in every decade since the 1960's.

They both stared together 1996 black comedy crime drama Blood and Wine (which I haven't seen in years but is a pretty good movie).

Was good friends with Terence Stamp (Supermans Zod). They shared a flat in the 60s. Is also good friends with Quincy Jones.

Was in 1978 movie Calfornia suite with probabley oddest cast ever. The cast included Jane Fonda, Bill Cosby, Water Matthau, Richard Pryor and Maggie Smith.

In Austin Powers GoldMember Mike Myers has said that his glasses in all three films are meant to look like those worn by Michael Caine in The Ipcress File (1965), so Caine took the original glasses (model "Teviot 74" by UK Optical) to the set and wore them as Nigel.

Dare I say that maybe, just like Michael Keaton (Anyone old enough can remember the furor over a comic actor like Keaton being cast as Bruce Wayne/Batman.) in Batman '89, Heath Ledger will silence his critics by nailing his performance as the Joker?

Heath doesn't seem to have a lot of critics anymore, I guess there is still the make-up vs permawhite debate but even that seems to have calmed down a bit (50/50 in the poll).

You know, I said this in the poll's thread, but I think those even results might be a hint that both will be utilized: Makeup to start out with and perma-white towards the end due to an accident maybe. But that's just me theory.

Great update,Thanks!

Just wanted to see what your name would look like when quoted :ninja:

NEVah!

I think Alfred has a scene where Joker is coming on a lift to raid Wayne Manor, with seven dwarves? Or something like that

Refer to the Snow White and Seven Dwarves thread. People are correlating the Joker and his so-called "dwarves" (henchmen) to Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
