Michael Giacchino WILL score The Batman

In other news, the sky is blue.

Also, If JJ Abrams ever does decide to helm a Superman film (or any DC property), you better believe Giacchino will score that as well.

These three are a tight knit group.

 

His music work for the Apes movies are really great.

I also liked the Homecoming movies scores as well, they stood out to me as they made the original animated Spiderman really bad ass.. That was very Marvel style. I'm expecting something more like his score for Apes franchise than anything else.

Hopefully each villain gets an unique theme too along with Batmans

 

Honestly I couldn't be more thrilled, his work on Lost, Cloverfield and the Apes stuff is great. As many have said and so have I, he brings a little extra when he works with his pals JJ or Matt, so I definitely expect something great. His style reminds me a bit of Elfman's score and he will bring that fantastical feel with him. Get some of that glorious orchestral element in there and you've got yourself a good god damn batman score cooking.

Really having to fight the urge to yell in all caps "GET A LIFE" at the people who feel the need to respond to each and every piece of news, not to mention personal tweets confirming involvement with the film, with "Release the Snyder Cut".

Michael Giacchino to score ‘The Batman’ & Steve NEEDS to be there

At about 05:20, Giacchino says that he's done with the theme already (not the whole score), and Reeves will be using it as inspiration for his writing, directing, etc.

 

Underrated Batman theme, don’t @ me.

 

If that tease was the shape of what’s to come, I’m loving it.

Very industrial with some BTAS vibes. Freaking adoring it.

Yes, numerous people were saying that only his Pixar scores are great and his other scores are too generic.

I sincerely apologize for doubting Giacchino and being kinda disappointed he was chosen. I am, apparently, a witless cretin.

 

The first few bars of the theme are giving me ‘The Imperial March’ vibes a bit.

 

The music is definitely giving BTAS series vibes which is probably why I love it so much. Was not expecting that, but man how can you possibly doubt Giacchino.

 

If the suit reveal really is Batman's theme, then I can really get into it. The music is one part faint mystery and the other is foreboding terror of crime.

 

Same. If I'm being honest, this is my favorite part of the reveal.

 

I've already looped the video several times. I know what I'm going to be humming at work tomorrow.

 

I hope there's less Imperial March in the final soundtrack.
