Microsoft E3 2009

Oh, it was an interesting idea. I don't know how healthy it'll be for companies to start rolling out AI "friends" for already introverted gamers to interact with, but that's not really Molyneux's problem.

That's what I was thinking as well. I mean, usually when people start talking to non-existent people others raise eyebrows. Though, now that it's in video game format, it's the future of the industry

Is Alan Wake another Shenmue? That game on the Dreamcast, driving forklifts and buying fish from the market and what not?

Natal sounds amazing. Except when it becomes self aware. How do you pronounce "Natal" I've only read about it so far, I havent seen any videos yet.

So is Old Republic coming out for the on one of the Xbox's? Or is Bioware seriously going to shaft the fans that actually made that game popular?

It's PC. It's an MMO. Xbox can hardly support games with 16 people playing a match let alone an MMO.

Aren't console MMOs supposed to be coming out in the next couple of years?

Yeah, they've been saying that since the Dreamcast came out.

Im sure Live could handle an MMO. If Sony can handle an MMO in DCU: Online, Microsoft sure as hell can.

Halo 2 with 20+ people on x-box used to be pretty fun. I thought it ran well considering. I dont know how it would run now, maybe not as well but I'm sure Microsoft could pull it off if they put the right foot forward on it.

KOTOR MMO I think is horrible still. Trying to say it's going to be KOTOR 3, 4, 5 blah blah. B.S.

Yeah, I'm an enormous fan of the Knights of the Old Republic games and I have zero interest in The Old Republic. Might as well have just called it Star Wars: Galaxies 2.

You know with all this Twitter and facebook ********, why doesn't Microsoft just come out with a browser for the 360 with keyboard and mouse capabilities?

What irks me is that its probable that we're never going to get KoTOR 3.

I would have had no problem with an mmo if it had not been for the fact that we're all going to be left dangling via the ending of TSL.

So we're just to assume that Revan and the Exile failed and we're killed. Talk about a kick in the nuts.

That would certainly be nice. You'd think MS would've been the first to do that instead of lagging behind Sony and even Nintendo.

I mean imagine being able to browse the web on your HD screen and then jump into a game of Call of Duty with a mouse and keyboard. Though I can see where the problem with interfacing may arise but PC has been able to allow you to play with a controller or keyboard for years.

Nah, they wouldn't even have to bother making the keyboard compatible for games. Console controllers have worked just fine for shooters on consoles for two generations now.

I was talking more about the web browser integration than the keyboard anyway.

I can browse the web on my sister's DSi, Microsoft is slacking.

Did it feel at all that this was an equivalent of a Science Fair and Microsoft did a working model of the rain forest and Nintendo and Sony just did the Solar System, again?

I think when everyone was saying about Sony having all these exclusive titles coming out and this is Sony's year, their presentation just felt expected. No real big surprises at all.

I mean even Nintendo threw in a new Mario and Metroid game.

As for Halo ODST and Reach, Jesus Christ, milk that cow for all it's worth. Give me a break.
I can understand where you´re getting at, but i can´t see it that way.
To milk something is to go on and on about something that doesn´t really have a reason to, just for money´s worth, in Halo, Microsoft is creating a universe, that´s not milking it.
If they were in fact milking it, every game would an FPS (Halo Wars is not) and about Master Chief (which is not the case since 2 games ago).
Halo: Reach, from what i could gather is going to be based on the 1st book, so, all points out, it will be heavy in story and, once again, will be about the creation of the Halo universe.

But that story has already been created. Why make a game out of it when there is perfectly good book that can be read?

I was blown away by Microsoft, I didn't get that same feeling for Nintendo and Sony.

In full disclosure, I only own a 360 and a DSi, so really they'd have to blow me away to make me go "Well maybe I should buy a PS3 or Wii."
