Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor

All of my hardcore LOTR fans are hating on this game because a character like this was never mentioned in the lore. These same guys rip on comic book fans for taking issues with certain comic book related movies (me..with The Dark Knight Rises for example.)

It really feels like a modern take on Tolkien. It fits the world, but it is so... now. Looks incredible. And thankfully, it actually is coming out this year!!!! Big plus. t:

I keep thinking that Talion going to turn into the Mouth of Sauron or something. And showing the Tower using the same domination ability as Talion as the elf wraith seems to imply that it may very well be a evil power with corrupting influences.

The Tower looks sick, though. The Black Hand kind of has a classic Sith Lord look, but the Tower looks like he walked off the Hellraiser set.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor : Release Dates Updated - Last Gen Console Versions Delayed

Warner Bros. has announced that the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 console versions of Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor will be delayed until November 18th in North America,November 21st in the UK/EU. The PC version of the game is slated for September 30th (worldwide) and the PS4 / XBox One versions headed out on September 30th (NA) and October 3rd (UK/EU).

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor delivers a dynamic game environment where the player orchestrates their personal plan of vengeance as they bend Mordor to their will. The game begins on the night of Sauron’s return to Mordor, as his Black Captains brutally execute the Rangers of the Black Gate. Players become Talion, a ranger who loses his family and everything he holds dear, only to be returned from death by a mysterious Spirit of vengeance. Based on the player’s actions with the in-game Nemesis System, every enemy encountered is distinct and can evolve to become a personal archenemy through the course of the game. As Talion’s personal vendetta unfolds, players uncover the mystery of the Spirit that compels him, discover the origin of the Rings of Power and confront the ultimate nemesis.

My only debate is do I buy it digitally or a physical copy? I used to only buy physical...but now it's hit or miss if you can re-sell it on Amazon. So I don't know...might just go digital from now on.

Go physical. Its nice to actually own something that you can hold. And you can, at the very least, resell it to gamestop.

Iv been going digital for everything but sports titles. Even Destiny, a game I was iffy on I went digital.

For starters, EA Access grants you 10%, so the game is like 53 and some change. Secondly, this isn't an EA game, its a WB game, so it won't be in EA's Access program.

From what I've seen, we only get to play in and immediately around Mordor.

I want nothing more than the ability to explore all of Middle-Earth in a game...hopefully this game does well enough to fund something like that in the future.

Yeah, my hope is that they add Expansion type DLC. Opening new regions for us to explore, do quests in, etc... I hope they go that route instead of saving the world for future games...that would be way too many games. It makes sense to open up more of the world via DLC with each game instead.

your headed mostly in to the the center of evil. You start in a area where it was your home but from the on your headed to Mordor and the environments are less varied in the inner parts there there will be some forest areas before that. But the closer you are to Morder the more desert or ruins like it look to you. Your there to wreck the place and as they told Epn.tv pick up allies and I don't mean just the orc's you control as an army at times.
