Yeah action scenes are usually trimmed down a bit in promo clips.

I’m probably a little too critical but I noticed some safe punch’s that cruise just tosses his head back to imitate a hit

I hope they knock down so many walls that the entire bathroom collapses at the end of the fight.

I was thinking about that yesterday. The M:I franchise differs from Bond (and Bourne) because it is mostly a team effort. Ethan is part of a team, he is not a one man like Bond. That is a huge difference.

This is why i wish they utilize the oo agents and that way we can get more diversity in a bond film, not because i specifically want it, but it opens up the path for spin offs and also great actors playing new and unique characters rather than having to change Bond for the PC brigade. Basically bring great characters in, rather than changing what we already have.

Imagine Cavill as Bond, out on a mission in Prague, with Idris Elba as oo6 a more polished version of Bond, who bond greatly respects and learns a lot from. oo3 played by Emily Blunt and say Riz Ahmed as oo8. The focus is on Bond, similar to Ethan but we see these great characters play out. Sure, we can see Bond work alone, but i truly feel they need to utilize the department and who he works with.

That's actually a great path for them to go to revitalize the franchise.

I lovvvveee when they do those sorts of fight scenes without music or with minimal music. It's so visceral and intense.

Fight scenes without music are always more intense. Hell, Ted even knew that with the Mark Wahlberg hotel fight.

Yeah. I'm all for music in movies and TV shows but sometimes its too excessive. I watched Kingsman 2 the other day and it seemed like every action sequence had to have a classic pop rock song playing with it.

**** me. I just watched some of that B-roll footage. I can't believe Cruise really climbed that rope on the helicopter while it was ascending really freakin' high up into the air. Dude has balls of solid rock.

He does his own stunts. All of them.

Damn even the b-roll for this is thrilling to watch.

Congrats to Rebecca Ferguson who recently gave birth to her second child, a baby girl.
And to the newest IMF agent, WECOME TO THE TEAM!

And where you can actually see what's going instead of rapid-fire editing.

That...almost beats out the True Lies bathroom fight of death.

That's one badass little Asian dude, taking on Hunt and Superman at once.

So great to hear this is another great installment. I'm more than ready to watch it. It really is amazing how much this series is able to continue topping itself again and again.

I can see it in IMAX, but the theatre is a bit far way.
But, I went there to see Ghost Protocol.
I will probably go there for my first screening.
