Suits at WB: “Well, McQuarrie is out. I guess it’s back to the old drawing board! What’s Roger Christian up to these days?”

Sorry to hear that Mcquarrie got burned by this toxic fanboy BS.

A new spot for MI:Fallout dropped a couple of days ago.
The full title is a bit spoilery.
So, just type in MI: Fallout Norway.
The spot has a few new bits but its really almost a music video compilation of what has come before.

The first two Mission films are on Starz Encore east and west channels today
Check your local listings but I believe MI 1 airs at 9:25am eastern and 12:25
with 5:10 and 8:10 shows to follow.
MI II will follow those shows.

I hope that Paramount is smart enough to release a Light The Fuse TV Spot for the fourth of July.
I will keep an eye out for it.

Filmmakers should just stay off Twitter in general. There's nothing gained from it. Look at Christopher Nolan.

IMHO Nolan's films are far from perfect. And you know what else? His fans scare me sometimes the way they worship him like an infallible god. However, I don't see Nolan constantly seeking validation or lowering himself to immature levels on Twitter or social media.

I can see the potential value in social media for engaging fanbase, marketing etc. But it's just become way too toxic and soap boxy.

I'm not even a particularly huge rabid Nolan fan (he's awesome, but overrated too, if that makes sense), but I always respected his low-key old-fashioned approach to his career.

One movie at a time, take things slowly & methodically, don't really engage in the Hollywood BS & social media nonsense.

Then again, haha, I love it when some no-nonsense type like McQuarrie just smacks these tools down a peg too.

They dropped a small teaser for the film.
It's called No Hard Feelings.

:mnm:

As if McQuarrie couldn't get any ****ing cooler.

High five, good sir. High five. People don't deserve the Superman flick you'd make, anyway, leave 'em to whatever inferior director they actually hire.

But even the people who do deserve and want his Superman film, and behaved well throughout (like a couple of the posters in this thread) are also not getting it. You sure you're happy about that?

If the next Superman director is inferior that will affect all Superman fans, not just those who you think this action hurts. I don't blame him for getting scared away from doing a fan property as there is a tightrope to walk when you are doing so, but we lose when he does walk away (at least those who are Superman fans and rate the guy).

Fans don't deserve anything, that's your first mistake.

Who, McQ? Of course he was. Those people are nuts. It's just sad is all. I had high hopes for him on a certain other franchise.

I agree. I am sad we won't get to see him work on Superman. Twitter is an awful invention and should be avoided like the plague. It is just a forum for too many idiots.

It's almost as bad as the hardcore Snyder-verse fans. :D

Honestly, I wish McQuarrie would go back to his roots and do another old school crime film. The Way of the Gun is so underrated. I’d love to see him make another film like that, maybe even one with a cameo by Parker and Longbaugh.

Uber has a new commercial online featuring Cooper Adrian, "Stunt Double To Tom Cruise on MI: Fallout".
Pretty Funny.

Am I the only one that thinks "Damn Ving Rhames has a big ol head" every time I see the trailer? I have gotten the trailer for every movie I have seen(except Incredibles 2) since I think Black Panther. That is all I think about when it plays.

Also, Henry Cavill has posted something new on Instagram, a photo of a scene that he filmed with Tom in Paris.
