More plot details?

Which just proves how foolish to believe in that fan-made script summary, filmick blog, or any other so-called scoop that says Venom kidnaps Gwen at the end of the movie, with MJ, at the battle royale. It simply just don't make sense.

Considering that the 'fan-made script summary' has been accurate in almost every facet, that the question and answer form with the supposed informant ended up being correct to the dot and that the script may have been revised (with extra consideration on how the script to the original Spider-Man evolved from the initial screenplay) I'd say it makes perfect sense. If the end has conflicting info it could just as easily be the aforementioned- need I remind that in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' there was originally the Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus in the same film? Obviously Octavius didn't make the cut in the original film. We had to wait until SM2 to see him, and even then he was drastically altered. The conflicting information may just be attributed to people getting their hands on two different scripts. The old script seemed to just have Gwen present. The SDCC stills revealed she was replaced by Mary Jane. Now the script reveal puts her in the same moment as a seperate damsel in distress. The original informant wasn't wrong, just off due to the fact that it was still a WIP.

And as for the blatantly false info? There's no way anyone in their right mind can think that Raimi would do things such as have Peter kill Harry or Mary Jane get killed by Venom for no apparent reason. Cutting through the lies is not that hard.

But remember, Venom can remember Peter's memories, and would know that MaryJane is the person he loves more then anyone else.

We have no idea how the movie symbiote works. In the comics the symbiote didn't effect Peter's emotions or rage. In the comics the symbiote could morph into other clothing. It doesn't here.

In the movie, unlike the comics, Eddie witnesses Peter tearing himself free of the symbiote. That's the only thing we have to go on as to why he'd know Peter's identity and thus would know who MJ is.

So, you're saying don't trust "fan-made" things. Yet you believe the above fan-made speculation of how the suit works- And your own fan-made belief of Gwen not being at the final battle because YOU think Eddie loves her too much to hurt her. Even though you have nothing to base this on. Not even a "fan-made" script summary that has yet to be proven wrong.

Dude, think about it for a second. Josh Bond hit it on the head.

Josh Bond said:

That means that everyone who think that Venom blames Peter for leading Gwen astray, than for some reason punish her to death, is sadly mistaken. Cause Venom, remembering Peters memories, thanks to the Symbiote, would know that Peter only cares and love MJ, and that Gwen is no more than a flirt. Peter at no time falls in love with Gwen. Not only that, but Venom would also know Peter lead Gwen nowhere. Gwen has an insignificant, minimal, introductory role. The love triangle is between Peter, MJ, and Harry... there is no Gwen in the mist of that.

I know people want to believe, LOL, so go right ahead. Like Visionary said, we will eventuary find out who's right and who's wrong. :yay:

Dragon, I never said I believe anything. Where did I say that?

If anything I said it may sound good or interesting.

Well here's some of the things the "fan-made" script summary nailed as early as February, before we saw any pictures or set reports:

1. The fight with Harry, including how the fight ends.
2. Spider-Man Day.
3. Sandman is Ben's killer.
4. How the symbiote attaches to Peter.
5. Where and when the final battle takes place.
6. Peter proposing to MJ
7. Sandman's sick daughter.
8. Peter hitting MJ.

You sure that's the work of a fan?

Well in the movie Venom will morph his hands into giant claws, (confirmed by action figures) so that is kind of like morphing into something else.

Your 2nd paragraph dosn't make any sense, how would Eddie have any idea who MJ is without Peter's memories?

Some of those things have turned out to be true, but you have no idea if they were right about the end of the Harry fight as you havn't seen it, you don't know if Sandman was really the killer or just framed, you don't know if Sandman's daughter is really sick. Your just assuming that they are right about those things.

Dude, there was a description of the fight with Harry about 2 weeks ago from people who saw it at the trade show, and it matches the script summary.

Who would FRAME Sandman? How could they do it? Why would they do it? So Spider-Man, who they couldn't know was Ben's nephew would exact revenge? And regardless, the very fact that the summary mentions Sandman as killer AT ALL says the writer had some kind of inside info.

And really- with all of the things the summary got correct that's been proven (There were many more things than those I mentioned) you're going to assume that it's fanmade because of a few things that might be off, even though there's at least signs that they're correct as well?

Sorry to walk into the middle of this, but... action figures confirming film characters' characteristics? Might be true, but I wouldn't stake my reputation on it, and I certainly wouldn't offer it up as "proof".

Your 2nd paragraph dosn't make any sense, how would Eddie have any idea who MJ is without Peter's memories?

Uh... maybe because Peter & Eddie both worked for JJJ, who's son just happens to be the guy MJ left standing at the altar... don't imagine that might have been the topic of some water cooler talk, do you??:whatever:

I don't think it's fan-made, I think that they have read a script which had some right things, and some wrong things. As I've said before, films often have false written and filmed endings to stop the true info to be leaked. So again, we won't know what's right and what's wrong until we see the film for ourselves!

But it still isn't functioning as it does in the comics.

Your 2nd paragraph dosn't make any sense, how would Eddie have any idea who MJ is without Peter's memories?

By seeing them together? It isn't as if Peter keeps the relationship a secret, and it's likely well-known at the Bugle that MJ left JJJ's son for Peter.

Again- you guys need to stop assuming that you know what actually happens in this story. We've seen maybe 5 minutes of a 2 hour plus movie.

Dragon... as usual, it looks like you've got your work cut out for you! My sympathies.

your the one assuming you know everything about the film. And when would Eddie see Peter and Mj together? Peter quite possibly keeps his relationship with Mj a secret at the Bugel, as he wouldn't want JJJ getting mad at him and fireing him.

From Lethal Weapon...

Sgt. Murtaugh: "Man, that's thin... very thin"
Det. Riggs: "Downright anorexic"

C'mon Josh, you're grasping at thin air now...:woot:

I disagree. I think I'm grasping at fat air. lol

Okay- so even though nothing in the script summary has been proven wrong the script has some wrong things. Okay.

You know I love a challenge. And BTW- you stole my JJJ answer. You just posted it before me :O

Just becaus esomething hasn't been proven wrong dosn't mean that it isn't wrong. And not everything has been proven right either.

Didn't your mother ever tell you to keep your fingers out of your ears?:oldrazz:

She keeps telling me, but I usually ignore her, or I can't hear her because my fingers are in my ears! lol.

BTW, Dragon are you still in NY? If so, what the heck are you still doing up? It's like, 3:30 am there right now.

What about you Josh?

I'm the only one on here at a reasonable hour right now. It's only 10:30 pm on the islands.

And your assuming that Peter would tell JJ that he's going out with his son's ex-wife/engaged person girlfriend?

I actually live in Australia, and it's 7:37 pm, so I'd say that's a pretty reasonable time.
