More plot details?

Yeah. That scene is in the Venom trailer. Gwen is wearing the pink blouse and brown skirt and she's falling toward the yellow crane. It's the beginning of the movie, not the end. It's the scene that was shot in New York on 54th street. And it's during the day. It looks dark because you're looking down at the street and the building she's falling from is black metal (It's a real building).

Maybe you are right, who knows. There is a lot of stuff that does not sound right in his story anyway. Villain's post sound more plausible than his. Like Doc Ock said, I don't see why Venom would punish a girl that he's supposenly love. I can see him getting MJ to get back at Peter, but Gwen, that just does not make sense.

Why would he hurt Gwen? The age old reason- She rejected him.

^-Oh yeah. That hurts for a guy.Make you have twisted toughts.

I really don't think Harry would attack May, much less kill her. I sincerely hope this is all wrong. It sounds as if Alvin just took Eddie's stuff from the comics, rather than a good rewrite.

Being exposed as a fraud is no reason to ask God to kill a person.

If Eddie was an honest reporter who was trounced by Emo Peter, then him asking for Peter to be killed would fly better, imo.

-Morzan

rofl, the whole career you gave you're life to has been revealed to be fraudulent. people have killed for alot less than that.

I agree - that seems out of character for Harry.

I suppose 'indirect' could be like how he was indirectly responsible for DocOck snatching up MJ in SM2...but if that's the case, it hardly parallels the nature of Norman's death, so that seems like a stretch.

And the logic of it all sounds terrible:

Harry is indirectly responsible for the death of Aunt May, which is the reason why Peter goes over Harry’s house and kicks his arse and why later, Peter is still has a difficult time asking Harry for help, after the kidnapping of MJ, by Venom. Harry does feels bad about Aunt Mays death. However while pleading to Peter that it was accidental, in a sudden revelation, he realizes now that Peter was telling him the truth about Norman’s death and agrees to help save MJ. Harry’s recognition that it is not in Peter’s nature intentionally to harm anyone, begin his own healing from his father’s insatiable visions.

- I liked it better when we had Pete attacking Harry because the black suit was making him overreact. This makes it sound justified.

wait, it's out of character for a freakin villain to attack peter's family?

but it didn't seem complete. why would peter go back to the mansion after harry got owned in the first fight. just because the symbiote wanted him to? doesn't quite seem complete.

and why isn't harry fighting back most of the time? he looks distraught in the footage we saw.

Harry does fight back, remember the leaked footage, it has both symbiote Peter vs. Harry in the mansion fighting.

Nah, that's not a reason to drop her arse off a crane, 30 stories high, into a pile of pipes and she's the girl you say you love. NO... I don't buy it.

They could've easily made something new for the "kidnapping" which has acured in all three damn movie's.. They could've captured Harry and threatened to kill him. They could've taken Aunt May. They could've also taken a large large groupe of citizens and hold them captured... But nooo, they had to do the exact same as in the previous films.. Let's take MJ!!! That hasn't been done before... yeah, right.

Well not all the bad guys know what has happened to MJ before or whom she got kidnapped by, etc. They just go after the person Spider-Man/Peter loves most.

wait

wouldn't venom kidnap MJ (knowing pete and her are together)
and wouldn't sandman kidnap gwen? (supposing everyone saw her kiss spider-man at spider-man day)

whatev

mj took that risk at the end of spidey 2

remember...

this'll learn her lol

Yeah, her dumping him at the end would make sense... but it would be such a waste of story though :down

Yeah, but I have a problem with that. First off, that shot was during the day in the city. Second, Gwen had on the same pink shirt from the Spidey Celebration Day. So that shot has to be during that time period.
I agree with you on that. this proves that it was during the day so you are right:yay:.

Are you serious?

First off, "love" killings happen every freakin' day. Why do you think there are so many battered wives out there. You think those guys hate their women?

Secondly- you understand- that what Eddie and guys like him feel is not REAL LOVE. It's obsession. They want to own and control the woman. So yes- they will happily make the woman suffer or die if it will protect their ego.

In fact I recall them shooting a scene in front of Gwen's house when Eddie gets a little rough with her.

Hes got a point.

Good point - there's gotta be a reason. I just don't think it's about Aunt May. Maybe it's over MJ: I believe the leaked trailer had a shot of Harry and MJ looking a little intimate.

true, but it still could be aunt may but I doubt it.

I think in the leaked trailer there is a shot of MJ and Harry kissing. Maybe that's why Peter decides to clobber harry.

You make great points, but from the footage we saw at Comic con, Eddie seems to blame all his misfortune on Peter. Nobody else.

He probably blames Peter for leading Gwen astray. Thinking he turned her against him or something.

LOL! You gotta be kidding right? :whatever:

Dude, that would be cheapening the character of Eddie Brock. Where do you see Eddie is trying to control Gwen... where? It almost like you are talking about yourself, cause I don't see where Eddie is one of those guys.

He said that Gwen left him, because of his ambitions... his ambitions in his job is what Eddie is obsessed with. Like SLYspyder said, you work your whole life only to see your career be ruin and label as a fraud. He out to get Peter Parker and that's all. Like Doc Ock said, there is no reason for him to kill or even try to harm Gwen what-so-ever.

You have no point. He may be a little pist and unhappy with the perception of Gwen flirting with Peter, but there is nothing in this film that says she is head over heels for Peter... nothing.

On the topic of the gwen pictures...

There are TWO different times she wears a pink shirt - and I believe it is a different shirt.

1) The 'Venom' footage where she is falling (pink shirt, brown skirt) - this appears to be the same outfit that she's wearing in the shots of her and Spidey doing the wire work that was filmed during the day.

I don't know what Raimi's preference is, but I do know that often 'night scenes' are shot in the day and then altered to appear as night.

Also, Topher is on set and looks like he may be in some shots - so I don't think Venom is around at this point.

2) Spiderman day outfit (pink shirt, patterned skirt) - I believe the shirt is different than the other - the one in the wirework has a flower pattern on the sleave and in front and I don't see it here. It seems like the only her boots are the same.

No one is that simple. Have you ever heard of anyone, especially a violent jerk like Brock having only one person they hate? They may have one person who's the focus of their anger, but generally such types have bad relationships with alot of people. Sometimes, pretty much everyone.

And again- we did get a set report of Gwen and Brock arguing in front of her house. So, there's no question that he harbors some anger toward Gwen.
