The Dark Knight Morgan Freeman's Pissed!!

CS/SHH!: Have you finished your part?
Freeman: I haven't finished. I've got one more day. I travel all the way to Hong Kong to do it.

Just noticed the interview on the main page. I guess Wayne isn't going to Hong Kong, like we thought in the sides. Lucious is. Nice.

Or both of them are.

I guess Morgan actually wants to earn the money by doing work rather than getting it without lifting much of a finger.

Then let him get paid proportionate to what he's doing. Stop you're *****ing, Freeman! :cmad:

I don't think Freeman is complaining, he's just stating it as it is.

I thought he was pissed from driving around Miss Daisy...

Didn't he say in Begins he was only doing it for the money?

Freeman is a BRILLIANT actor, and I'm a huge fan, but at the end of the day, he is more than willing to do AWFUL movies or small parts for cash...

Dreamcatcher anyone?

In a Swedish film-review show, the actors for "Dreamcatcher" Morgan Freeman and Tom Sizemore were both asked why they'd be in such a terrible movie (rude question, but funny), and I remember Sizemore being outraged, and Freeman calmly saying "Honestly? The money."

Now I'm not saying the new Batman films are terrible (In fact, I loved Batman Begins, and the new one looks like it's shaping up just fine), what I'm saying is, I got the distinct impression Freeman was trying to say: "Listen, I'm doing this for the money."

Freeman was telling the truth. I don't anything wrong with that and nor should anyone. He's pist off that Nolan, once again, gave the character nothing to do but stand around and act as Q.

They could've just not had him back...

And what would that say for continuity? Fox, whether many like it or not, is an important role in the franchise. He is essentially the man behind Batman, handing him whatever is needed to secure safety.

Totally agree.

Look people Freeman is an intelligent guy! He PROBABLY know what his role entails before signing up for a role! He is OK with doing small parts for lots of money! Bruce Almighty, Evan Almighty, as God, March of the Penguins and War of the Worlds as a voiceover.

He was even outraged person #4 in Lethal Weapon 2.

He takes roles for the cash. Then sometimes he does a Shawshank or a Clint Eastwood film or, my fav of all time, Seven.

Good for him.

Definetely hasn't gained more respect. Acting shouldn't be for the money; more so for the passion. I guess the later can die out after struggling with it.

LOL!!! Winning an Oscar is about as much respect as is possible to get I would have thought?!

Winning an Oscar shouldn't dicapatate the passion for acting. You can say the same for Christian Bale; the man hasn't won an Oscar, yet constently tests himself with a better role.

I really don't think you understood what I was saying...

He won an oscar, therefore he has respect from his peers. He does pick great roles, like his oscar winning performance, like his role in seven, etc, but he also does roles just for the money... Big deal!!!!

His role in Begins is TINY! They don't need any big acting chops for it. But it helps.

People just like Freeman.

Money doesn't take away passion for anything. It just means that he has security to choose graet roles at other times which wouldn't be financially rewarding.

Oh, and spell check is your friend.

You're saying that Freeman turn's down a role because the money isn't there? Even though the role is one of excellence, passion, and full of potential. That, to me, reek's of his passion fading away and wanting enough money for his grandson to have. I somewhat find it hard to believe that he need's any money anymore.

He's upset because he's getting paid so much to do so little. I'd feel the same way. He's done a lot of movies recently with much larger roles and yet he's probably been paid less than what he's getting for TDK.

I'm beginning to lose my patience with you... Can you please actually read my posts?

I'm not saying that at all. I am saying that SOMETIMES, Freeman takes roles JUST FOR THE MONEY.

Begins and The Dark Knight is one of those times... It isn't exactly what you would call an Oscar performance.

Is English not your first language? In which case I'm sorry about the spell checker remark, cos they clearly don't work for apostrophes.

I don't think he is pissed off at all, it doesn't even sound like it.

Hell, Freeman has a lot more to do than Lucius does in the comics anyway. That character is just a throwaway afterthought. I think in Begins alone Lucius did more than the comics character ever did in its entire existance.

They should use Lucius, Alfred and Gordon in the comics in a more pivotal way, develop them the way Gordon was in Year One, because as they are they are just foils to Batman's greatness, and that is just boring.

No offense man but Morgan, as he always is, was perfect in BB. Just because he is making alot of money and doesn't have a leading role does not mean that he brings nothing to the table. The man is one of the greatest actors of his generation, show some ****ing RESPECT!

LOL! Best title for a thread ever! I can totally see him standing there with a shotgun in his hands.

how does this belong in hte spoiler forum?
