Most Overrated Movies You've Seen

I really couldn't sit through the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Romero's Night of the Living dead. Those 2 just bored the hell out of me. Plus,I've never gotten the humor of Mel Brooks. I find him and his films SO unfunny. Spaceballs was amusing, but that's it.
Dude, Young Frankenstein was a masterpiece.

Even if you don't get the humor, they accuracy and insight that went onto their remaking of classic Frankenstein was phenomenal; both partially remaking 1939's Son of Frankenstein, and partially creating a new chapter in the series that - thematically - could serve as a sequel to the originals.

Cabin in the Woods.

It's a good, fun movie and no more. It isn't genre defining and didn't tap into the zeitgeist like Scream did a decade earlier.

the comic book kick ass is more overrated than the movie IMO.

Prefer the movie to the comic. When kick-ass reveals himself to his girlfriend the way it plays out in the comics is frankly rubbish.

Inception. It's actually become a running gag at how overrated it is.

I think Inception, Avatar, and Titanic have been called overrated so many times that they can't accurately be called overrated anymore. It seems like the popular opinion on those movies has shifted from "they are great" to "they are overrated." I'm sure there are others too, but those were the first that came to my mind.

Scott Pilgrim is honestly one of my favorite comic book movies.

It captured the "comic book feel" two years before everyone started praising TA for doing the same thing, but to a lesser extent.

Speaking of which.

The Avengers is overrated. :o

Right! Except I feel Inception is still getting more praise than people call it overrated.

Inception is totally overrated and the only Nolan movie that won't go in my collection.
