Black Dynamite was in The Dark Knight :wow::wow::wow:

And he also played Spawn in that horrible movie.

In RoboCop, the guy who attempts to rob the convenience store picks up an Iron Man comic book. Neat, since the armored Avenger was one of the inspirations behind RoboCop.

Jared Harris (David Robert Jones in Fringe and Moriarty in the new Sherlock) is the son of Richard Harris (aka the original Dumbledore)

Not 100% movie based, but after rewatching The French Connection, I swear it was an influence for Batman: Year One.

Both in the way in which Gotham is portrayed and how a roguish cop takes center stage of an investigation are both aspects that match both works together very closely.

I've known this one for a while, but it still makes my brain go "That's cool!"

Rev. Shooter from Hot Fuzz was Ivan Ooze.

Another Hot Fuzz one:

Rory McCann who played Michael in Hot Fuzz, is The Hound in Game of Thrones.

In Robocop, Officer Murphy gets gunned down on his first call-out, on his first day at a new precinct.

Murphy's Law?
And that was going to be the original title to it that when it changed to "Robocop" and given to Paul Verhoeven he didn't want to do it because of the idiotic title but his wife told him to give it another look because the script was that good.

You're kind of right. He hated the script, his wife knowing that he want to break into American told him to take it and make the best he can

Chris Llyods wife was also the one that convinced him to do BTTF as he too originally passed on the script based on the title.

But his wife gave it a look and told him he should give it a read.

It wasn't her bed sheets...it was her roommates bathrobe.

Leonardo DiCaprio is in 2 movies coming out this Xmas (Django & Gatsby). The same thing happened 10 years ago (Catch Me if You Can & Gangs of New York)

Michael Shannon was in 90s Keanu Reeves, Morgan Freeman and Rachel Weisiz thiller Chain Reaction.

I'd love to know what Verhoeven's idea of a "good" script is.

If you've ever seen The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, you can see a ton of its influence in Edward Scissorhands.

Yep. I had to see it for one of my film classes. Too bad Burton hasn't been big on German Expressionism use since the 90s.

Mark Ruffalo plays a soldier in Windtalkers . I saw the film for the first time a couple days ago.
