Movie Stuff You Only Now Just Realized - Part 2

Could you elaborate on that?

the shield effect was hand drawn frame by frame and then animated over the live action plate (the batmobile) instead of CGI like they used in batman returns and I think it still looks good for how it was done all these years later ;).

Woah, woah, woah, I don't get it. Could you dumb it down a little there?

The truck driver who drops off Rogue in Canada at the place where she meets Logan is played by the actor who was the voice of Beast from the 90s Xmen cartoon.

So I just realised Ghostbusters only has a 7.8/10 on IMDB. This movie doesn't have a 10, WHY?!

The last time we see Kay in The Godfather and Part II, a door is being closed on her.

Daniel Craig was in A Kid In King Arthurs Court along side that American Pie guy.

Seth Rogen was in Donnie Darko.

I just learned that Masters of the Universe was the most expensive movie Cannon ever made (at $22m)

You 'only just realized this?' Or, you heard it in the director's commentary? :cwink:

Richard Kiel who you know as Jaws from the Bond movies originally landed the lead role in the Incredible Hulk TV series.

He was replaced by Lou Ferrigno after just a few days of shooting when the producer's son who was on set for a visit, saw Kiel and said, "That's not the Hulk."

and they still didn't have enough money to make the end of the film.

hence why the final fight is really dark with a strobe light

The first time I watched Horrible Bosses, I thought it was just a mediocre comedy, but watching it again today shows me it's one of the worst lit movies I've ever seen. Orange light EVERYWHERE. It's in almost every ****ing scene. To top it off, vibrant blues are added into the mix, making it the cherry on the **** sundae. The movie is so ugly.

There's one scene towards the end where the guys are in a club (?) and the blue light is just resting on their heads and shoulders while the orange wraps around them. It's so visually disgusting I couldn't wait for it to end.

to be fair it has been years since I saw it last, I just got all 3 (and wolverine origins) on blue ray and was re watching it and i saw the actor in the truck and I remembered that he was the voice of Beast (also had a supporting role in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids TV show ;) ).

Sounds like you need to calibrate your TV.

There is actually one surviving shot of him as the Hulk in the pilot, iirc, it's an overhead shot when he's standing in the forest, I might be wrong though. I can't recall where I saw that pointed out either, maybe a vid on youtube, or on the Hulk dvd boxset extras.

And despite the budget MOTU still had more impressive SFX than Superman IV.

It's on the pilot episode by Kenneth Johnson since that's the only Hulk DVD I have.

In The Incredible Hulk, the "bully" in the yellow shirt that Hulk grabs and only leaves behind his shoe, is the same guy Wolverine fought in X3. He cuts off his arms the kicks him in the balls and says "grow those back."

Not really major, just something cool.

You know somewhere some guy noticed that and freaked out thinking it was their way of connecting X-Men to the Marvel movies building towards Avengers.:oldrazz:

I just realized right now while watching Inception that the reason it was raining in Yusef's dream world is because he had to pee.

"you couldn't you have peed before you went under."
"Sorry"
"a little bit too much free champagne before takeoff, hey yusef?"
"ha ha bloddy ha"

I was like, what the hell are they talking about. Oh, the rain.

Thought that was funny. and kind of clever.

Emma Stone looks like a young version of Marion Cottliard

In one scene from knocked up, during the latter portion of the movie, someone superimposed Topher Grace's face on a poster filled with boobs. LOL.

And I didn't get that one too until I happened upon an article analyzing the movie for newbies on the internet.

I just noticed that Anthony Anderson, who I first met as Law & Order's serious detective Bernard was the crazy fat guy from Transformers. And I had known Anderson for a long time before I saw Transformers. And that's not all... he was one of Jim Carrey's sons in Me, Myself and Irene!!! :wow::wow::wow:

That's absolutely true.
