One of the Seven Samurai teams up with one of the Magnificent Seven in the western Red Sun.

Liam Neeson had auditioned for the role of Dracula in The Monster Squad .

Also, in 2010 Michael Bay had plans to do a remake of The Monster Squad , but they were cancelled in 2014 (thank God).

In the trailer for Mission: Impossible Fallout, we see that Lane is back from the last movie. It just occurred to me that in 5 films, he’s the first villain to survive past the end. In all the other M:I’s, they kill ALL the bad guys.

The angry Rabbi in Hail, Caesar is Robert Picardo from Star Trek Voyager. For some reason I didn't recognize him (he looks a lot older).

This year in movies and TV, we will see 4 different Marvel characters who have robot arms.

Oscar nominated director David Fincher (Se7en, Social Network, Fight Club) worked on Return of the Jedi.

You can't really tell in Civil War, but in Black Panther during the scenes with old man T'Chaka, I noticed that John Kani's left eye like...doesn't work? I guess he has a glass eye. I haven't found any info on it, but I'm suddenly very interested in the in-universe explanation.

So in the MCU it's pretty much accepted canon that Stan Lee is a Watcher informant which explains all of his cameos in the films, as seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, in which he talks about the time he was a FedEx delivery man, an obvious nod to his cameo in Captain America: Civil War. However, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 takes place in 2014, before the events of Civil War. Funny continuity error, or can Stan travel through time?

I did some digging online and apparently John Kani has a glass eye because he got badly beat up by apartheid police in South Africa way back when. They left him for dead and his death was erroneously reported on the news.

He could work at FedEx for multiple years. :hehe:

:wow:

In other news, it took a second viewing for me to catch that the film's prolog (showing Wakanda's origin) is being told by N'Jobu to young Erik.

Watching the end of Rocky 4 last night I just realized the bit at the end with the Soviet Politburo was impossible. Between rounds 14 and 15, one of the dudes points towards the ring and in the next shot the Russian guy is telling Drago he's a disappointment.

Well the rest in between rounds is 60 seconds (1 min), so you mean to tell me the guy went from the top balcony, took an elevator (or stairs) down, and walked/ran down to the ring and managed to tell Drago all that in under a minute? I don't think so.

Then again the entire fight, which should've been stopped in the first round, was an impossibility so this isn't that far fetched compared to that.

Dan Aykroyd cameo’d as Ray Stanz in the Casper movie.

It also had Clint Eastwood, Rodney Dangerfield, and the Cryptkeeper! I saw this movie as a kid but clearly remember none of it.

In The Shadow whenever Shadow (or his alter ego) use his "Shadow Voice" it can be heard in all of your surround sound speakers at the same time.

Elon Musk is in IRON MAN 2.

That's something that I missed the first few times I watched it too because the world wasn't as familiar with Elon Musk in 2010 as they are now.
