I can't remember the last time I watched a show on Fridays.

Maybe it was the awful Ghost Whisperer, which I tried a time or two out of curiousity, or Numb3rs (which got real old).

Now, my favorite show and one of my other favorites will be added to the Friday TV lineup with Soup over E!

Actually, that should work out nicely.

I'll watch Smallville on The CW at 7pm, Medium now on CBS at 8pm and then Joel McHale on the Soup on E! at 9.

Whether Tom is signed for two more seasons or five, I'm thinking next is the last.

The CW may be the latest network to make a bold move on Thursday.

After days of rumblings, the CW is said to have settled on launching the hot new drama "Vampire Diaries" Thursday 8 p.m., paired with "Supernatural." "Vampire Diaries" would replace the staple in the time slot, departing veteran "Smallville," whose final ninth season would air on Friday, probably at 8 p.m.

Very interesting that they refer to it as the "final" season. What does that mean for all of these season 10 rumblings. Or is this just the writer's own belief (since it's been said pretty much at the start of every season for a while now).

It will be strange to not have it on Thursdays anymore, but the change isn't that big of a deal to me at this point.

like I said before in the season 9 spoiler thread, I think this is a good idea. Yes, I have my selfish reasons (I have lab on tuesday and thursday nights so I would be missing the show all fall), but I also think it will be a nice push to see this series come to an end. I love this show and will watch it as long as they keep airing it but I think it's time to move on and let Clark become Superman already. The only reason the writers and producers feel they have 1 or 2 more seasons of stories to tell is because they're borrowing storylines from when Clark is Superman already! I honestly don't believe there are any more stories to tell of Clark's journey toward becoming Superman. If Zod, the phantoms, Lex, and Doomsday haven't done it then I don't know what it will take for Clark to get that costume and fly.

The move to Friday's is most likely true, but for Season 9 being the final one better wait confirmation for that.

Season 9 could be a possible final season just like how Season 5 could have been, or Season 6, or Season 7, or Season 8.

and the last episode had better feature the costume..

you see, in order to do that, they need to set an end date and start planning right away. Or maybe I'm asking for too much and just got spoiled with Lost.

its sad that it will be over, but its def time. and giving the show an end will def make them start wrapping everything up. permanently. i have faith that it will still be good.

i just wish they didnt move the show! its always been with SUPERNATURAL. THEY BELONG TOGETHER! they are both ending next year, so they should go out together.

I would much rather them set an end-date and have a strong finish, rather than think, hope, pray they might get renewed, only to have to scramble to close out the entire series at the last minute if they don't.

Chuck is staying on at Mondays at 8pm I believe. It will be coming back mid season though.

I don't think so. I know it will be back mid season like January 2010.
