*looks at the Wonder Woman RT score*
Nope, doesn't seem that the critics are biased against DC. Seems that all they wanted was a good movie.
You don't say
Disney is paying RT to give Wonder Woman good reviews. That's the only explanation.![]()
It's like fans of a losing sports team complaining about the officials, TV announcers, and other franchises for their defeat.
Because it's not. There's no way I could shed more tears for Yondu over Superman. It's unthinkable.
I mean, Yondu is a pirate who massacred his massive crew in like 1 minute.

The Mouse on that long con!
Add me to the list that Yondu's sacrifice hit me more than Superman. I wasn't alone, people were crying during that part of GOTG2. I've stated before there was no cheering or emotion when I saw BvS. And I saw both of them during the first few days of release.
I saw Supes' death as a chronically depressed guy committing suicide.
Superman's death is probably the worst decision made in a superhero film since sewing Deadpool's mouth shut.

Reading the BirthMovieDeath review, essentially an easy on what 'they finally got right'. I'd also say this thread is about done.Or not a certain type of movie. I found MOS and BvS good myself.

To think, this is the best comic book movie ever made(looking at that current all important score), or the one that finally got it the most right, rather right for the most critics. Also seems cut and dry.
cheers.
Next up, the fun justice league. Another high fun score I hope.
Oh there are plenty, I just found that one, most eloquent and to the point to be honest. More honest, it's cause it' from the site the crew would cite on this dc stuff incessantly. Nah, it won't take all that many paragraphs, in fact I'll just cite the fine print for you.(who'd have thought I'd ever be using this particular site to make a point on dc movies, strange times.)Yeah that one single review proves it all. Critics just seem to hate superhero movies that are dark and somber.
Well, except for all of those superhero movies that are dark and somber yet still received critical acclaim. Those don't count for some reason that I'm sure will take a five paragraph post to explain.
You're right, there is no hatred for 'dark/somber' anything. These people loved fight club, and they loved Logan earlier this year, they love all sorts of dark sad ****. DC finally 'gets it right' when unabashedly stops doing just that? We call that inconsistent, we call that a form of bias. I mean come on flint. Another dark cynical dc installment and u think we're flirting with a high 90? Let's stop this. It's a factor! One you would deny exists somehow. To answer ur thing there, yes they do count, that they count is the crux of the argument. Everytime Logan get's brought up it only strengthens this disparity, actually calling dark a flaw...meh that's it."dispensing with the relentlessly grim, cynical take on these iconic characters in favor of embracing an appropriately modern interpretation of the aw shucks sincerity that defined the times in which these heroes were born."
"Their chemistry is effortless, their banter is as witty as anything out of a Marvel film"
"The Marvel canon is full of flawed humans — alcoholics, narcissists, callow teenagers, and morally conflicted vigilantes. The appeal is that they resemble us. The DC heroes are better than us. They light the way to a more perfect tomorrow.."**whoops, not actually making this a marvel thing.
"Again, it all sounds so hokey, but haven’t we deconstructed superheroes enough? It’s like redoing an autopsy on a dead body — the more you cut it up, the less it resembles the thing you started working on in the first place. If you are hoping for Granny’s Peach Tea and villains getting their necks snapped'
^Just so strange given we/they all loved logan.
I do, but then i see other people do the same thing(the other way). I ask myself if they have the energy to do it, why should I be any worse.Don't you ever get tired of beating the same drum over and over despite all the evidence to the contrary?
