Horror Netflix orders modernized 'Haunting of Hill House' from Mike Flanagan

I kind of like the changes to the characters.

I am going to watch the premiere again.

I'm on episode six and just wow this is super good. The chararacters and the special effects. As good as any ghost movie I've seen. :)

In the middle of episode 2...

I'm not going to like where this kitten thing goes, am I?

Nope. AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

EDIT: Oh god, it got worse. AAAAHHHHH!!!!!

This is a really good family drama with genuinely creepy scares.

Well, thanks to episode 2, I'm not sure I can go to bed. I know some family members that will likely not make it past episode 2.

I'm going to have to stop at 8, I can hardly keep my eyes open. It's still one of the best shows I've seen. :)

Hold onto your butt. It gets a lot creepier. Especially Episode 5 which focuses on the Bent Kneck Lady and Nell.

I already know I'm not going to like finding out why Theodora wears gloves...

I cant believe how well Flanagan has juggled the heartwarming character moments and the scares. The show never feels bipolar or at odds with its tone even tho its continually intercutting between beautiful character moments and terrifying moments.

Theodora's glove thing is a perfect example of this. Once its revealed why she wears the gloves it leads to some really unsettling moments but it also leads to some good moments between her and her mother and siblings and it grows her as a character. It doesnt feel like a gimmick.

I just spoiled that and nope, definitely not going to watch this series. From the comments I saw it was a cheap and exploitative way to make a point about something.

I think it was the best episode of the season so far and I've watched 8. :)

I just finished all of it. I could not stop watching it. I started watching it last night around 11 pm and couldn't stop. I finally at 4 am had to force myself to go to bed and not watch another episode. I woke up did a few things and then finish it off. All I can say is it was a great show.

Now the question is will Season 2 be same house of another house all together. I get feeling it will be a completely different house all together. As I think this one ended in such a way that it really doesn't need another season.

It's after 1 am and I am on a scene with the floating dude and I just can't even

All this time I was thinking that the guy playing the young version of the dad was Billy Crudup

Hee hee, no. He was in Legends of the Fall and Suicide Kings. I haven't seen him in a long while.

Finished it earlier today and it was such a great series!

I didn't have as much time today, but I just started the last one now. I'm not going to bed until it's done! :p

Finished it and was good to the last drop. But it is also a complete story. Since most popular programs often get continued, how do they make a second season of this?

If they do more seasons they could make it an anthology series. Each season being, "The Haunting of..." a new location or person.
