I'm fine with it considering it won't be his default suit from here on out.
Things I like:
I like the armor. While the BvS suit could withstand bullets, this looks like it can withstand a parademon.
To the people complaining that "the BvS suit was bulletproof! Surely that's enough against parademons!" Well, go back and watch the movie, Snyder gives us a pretty good show of that not being true. In the Knightmare, a PD punches Batman in the back of the head, knocking him out for a while. In the Warehouse fight, he gets shot in the head and is fine. So obviously, a punch from a PD is much, much worse than a bullet.
From top to bottom!
- I don't like the design of the ears, they are too smoothed back, should've kept them looking like the BvS ones, especially because it's one of the aesthetic choices that don't need to be changed for armor purposes.
- The overall cowl itself looks cool, still nice and thin. You can tell there is extra plates of armor without it looking like a robotic cowl.
- The goggles...this is what I was afraid of when I read that set report. But it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would look. He looks like a badass mechanic lol which is fine seeing as they are supposedly his flying goggles.
- Glad to see that Batflecks face doesn't look chubby or anything still, I was afraid it would when photos of him out n about were being shown lately.
- I LOVE love the neck, traps and cape. If you look closely, you'll see the cape attachment is similar to the concept art for BvS.
- The Symbol looks cool, glad to see there is already damage on it.
- Overall armor segments look a whole lot better than I thought they would. This is no TDK jigsaw. I like the straps across his abdomen/obliques, reminds me of Cap.
- Glad to see the belt hasn't changed. Like the ears should've been, it's one of those things you don't need to change.
- I like the gauntlets from what you can see of them. Not too Arkham bulky.
So yeah, overal I'm fine with it. IMO a fully armored suit is never going to please me like a non armored one does, but this is pretty close to how good you can go. The goggles are still a weird choice, I mean, should've just done the classic lenses. Yet another example of "a new take" on the classic counterpart that we haven't even seen in live action yet. (I'm looking at you LetJoker!)
