They had a decoy Ra's at the beginning of the movie. He was revealed to be a decoy when Crane revealed he was working for Ra's and it was actually Neeson's "Henri Ducard" the whole time.

I read it as if there was supposed to be some other villain in the movie. I was just curious if there was big rumors floating around for BB like there was TDKR (JGL is Black Mask) and a few others.

New pics of the turtle lair (featuring furniture made of pizza hut boxes), and the Shredder (with the foot) have hit.

Based on the presence of a helmet, it appears that we WILL be getting a traditional look for The Shredder. HOWEVER, the suit will be entirely motion capture, ALA Zod in Man of Steel.

Well, that's how they are going for it.

And depending on how intricate and bulky the design is......

Say if its something like this:

And depending on how intricate his fighting sequences are, it may have been necessary to execute it this way.

It, like the turtles, allows for actors and stuntmen to do more of the fight choreography and stunts themselves, rather than relying on 100% CGI.

It's a nice compromise between practical, and CGI.

The final look will be rendered in CGI, but the actors and stuntmen still get to perform as they would if it were practical.

It's like the Iron Man films. RDJ and the Jon Favreau wanted to use the practical suit, but it was to cumbersome and restrictive for the stuntmen and Robert to perform properly. Which is why, in the end, the suits for the rest of his appearances were completely mocap CGI outside of the helmet, and the chest piece occasionally.

Same goes for Zod in Man of Steel. Zack Snyder and Michael Shannon wanted to use a practical suit for Zod, but it was just too bulky for him to be able to perform properly.

In both cases, of Iron Man and Man of Steel, the suits looked great in the final product. Almost as good as if they were practical.
