If the Arrowverse or Marvel/Netflix shows or Watchmen are any indication, it's that there's a clear advantage to telling long form stories for comic book shows or television on a streaming platform. There'll always be an appetite for big budget special effects and story telling on the big screen and there are stories to tell in movie form, yes.
But as far as crafting an ongoing narrative that lets you connect to characters on a deeper level, coupled with not having to spend as much money on the budget unless you're getting really experimental or doing crazy stuff like on a Legion or Doom Patrol or Preacher, television is where it's at right now.

. I’m really interested in the horror angle but at this point, I feel like the movie itself is just going to be mediocre. Not as bad as the delays might make it look like, but also definitely not a gem misunderstood by the studio executives. I’m just happy we get to see the movie at least. Would’ve been a bummer if the movie had just been shelved forever.
