There is still thor/hulk/ironman who are adults. It just looks like powerman/iron fist/nova they decided to bee teens with spidey. Other heros we will see more likely will be adult selfs.

The animation and character designs look good.

Too bad the clip wasn't longer. Still looking forward to check this new series out.

I wasn't feeling the clip. It felt like a touching scene at first with them discussing Uncle Ben and then all of a sudden Spider-man is pushing font away? I didn't like that.

That was lame.

The whole "he was a good man" thing was forced, and when the words "Ultimate Spider-Man" popped up onto the screen my expression was literally: .

I want to like it, but that wasn't very good. Paul Dini wrote that too, likely that was from the first episode.

Also for all we know the main target was probably young kids. Where as for example all the current last few yrs dc animated films. They been pg 13/for older crowd. So you can't really judge it for that. Its apples to oranges. Also there is a very good crew on this as for popup word, and other stuff we will just see if it makes it into the show maybe they wanted to take a page out of teen titans show from a few yrs back.

So this is really going for the kids... huh?

I don't know... As much as I love him, Paul Dini is capable of writing a few stinkers. Assuming this is from the pilot that is supposedly written by him.

Batman the Brave & the Bold had alot of comedic tunes but it still is the darkest Batman show out there, tho BTAS is still the most "villain sympathetic and tragic" show out there. Still, Spidey seems to be channeling the Brave and Bold vibe with a good slice of cheese.

Brave & the Bold had some excellent writing to justify the shifts between the darkness and the comedy. Let's see if the show actually has that.

I love Batman: The Brave and the Bold... but it's not the darkest Batman show out there by a long shot. A few people dying, through magical means, does not equal darkness. Chill of the Night aside...

Batman: TBTB had great writing to support its cheesiness. So lets hope Spidey has the same support.

Ya its still to early to judge the show.

I have a feeling it'll warm on people eventually... Yes its a BIG step down from Spectacular Spidey but once this show finds its legs it could be pretty decent.

Oh ya every series has there good and bad points. Sure I miss tssm. But I willing to give this show a chance. At least a few episodes. I like most of voice cast we know. Plus they have dini/benis and man of action on this. So we have a good crew. But like I said earlier. They probably wanted to takke a cue like brave and bold/teen titans and probably younger ie 6-11 range for target demo. Doesn't mean we couldn't have some darker/mature stuff thrown in for adult fans. Like tssm did with siguestive langue and all that.

Clip was alright. I prefer to see a whole episode to get a good feel of it.

Apparently Thundra is confirmed to make an appearance on the show.

Great clip.

Stylistically it looks great and the humor is very much like that of Teen Titans seeing as they're breaking the 4th wall a good deal with captions breaking into the scene and Spidey making direct remarks to the audience. They're experimenting with Spidey in a different territory and I for one have liked everything I've seen.

Can't wait for this.

They said the word ultimate 4 times in that clip. we ****ing get it. it's ULTIMATE!!!!!

You'd think Spidey would take Fury's blatant disregard for flagpoles a little more personally.

If there was one thing I didn't like about the clip, it was how generic that font from the ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN gag was. They could have at least used what we see in the usual USM logo.
Spidey's voice seems off to me

I think a lot of that has to with him being a VA newbie unlike guys like Josh Keaton and Chris Barnes who were pros by the time the ball was in their court. I wonder who the voice director is.

Dini's probably just checking to see who's paying attention. It would be hilarious if people just addressed him as Ultimate Spider-Man all the time though.

Probably a gag they would do in the show. As for other gags/visuals stuff. I hope it turns out good. Though one idea. If that aspect doesn't go over well with audience maybe they could tone it down in future seasons.

I just saw the clip. Like Brave/Bold, this is not for me. I don't care how good B/B was, I personally didn't enjoy that take on Batman, so I only watched select episodes, never truly followed that show.

Same here. From the designs of the characters, to the fact that this is just a modern "Amazing Friends" show, to the fact that there may be a little too much Ultimate Universe here for my tastes, the fact that they keep breaking the forth wall (excellent for a Deadpool feature, not so much here), and unlike Spectacular which kids and old foogies could get behind, this show really does leave a "kid-only" taste in my mouth. So pretty much I'll come back for whatever Venom episodes they have, and leave again until Avengers comes on.

I agree. Seems like people are judging the show based on 30 to 40 odd seconds

I remember when the trailer for The Spectacular Spider-Man was released.
People moaned about the "squarish, kiddy" designs.
Then those same people loved the show.
And those same people are upset that it's gone lol

I don't know how good it will be, but I will watch it regardless.
Plus I'm sure one of the animators said that production for Season 2 had already started. They wouldn't green light a second season if they weren't confident with it.

Give the show a chance. 2 or 3 episodes are what it usually takes for a show to get into its groove :yay:

wolf i still think its hard to judge the show fully when all we gotten is some photos, and bits of info here and there. with one little clip and the few previews we seen. Heck yea i not really into the whole teen titans/brave and bold gag stuff. But i am willing to give the show a chance and see how the show itself is. Besides the stupid gags. Like i mentioned earlier, i think they did design the show to be more kid friendly and all that like bb/teen titans and probably a bit on super hero squad. But that still doesnt mean they wont throw in some good stories, mature things and all that.
