Then I can tell you didn't watch much of BaTB. Watch "Chill of the Night" if you really want to get into that Batman's psyche. Not to mention many smaller moments with other heroes and his fellow sidekicks that couldn't have been pulled off with any other heroes.

Also, I strongly recommend TSSM. It's by the same people behind Gargoyles and Young Justice, so maybeyou'll enjoy it.



Not really. It was pretty average and nothing exciting, but it had a consistent tone and fewer plot holes.

I will be the first to admit I didn't watch b:tbatb, however I gave it a fair shot -5 episodes. I'm not going to be ignorant and say the psyche was not there e whole series, but the episodes I saw it wasn't there. To make it revelant, I do see this in USM.

I have not watched TSSM, only for the fact that I hear you crave more after watching it , I hate that feeling.

Eh, I enjoyed the first two episodes of this show. The animation is good, the voice acting is good (Drake Bell's Peter Parker/Spider-Man voice kind of reminds me of a slightly higher pitched Christopher Daniel Barnes), and I laughed at a lot of the jokes (I thought the "Mexican Spider-Man" gag was pretty funny! t. And there were a few serious moments in there, too, so it's not all non-stop humor.

It's no SSM, but that's alright with me.

Well lets see if in time things can even out and get better for the folks that dont enough everything. Sure i dont care for certain elements to the show myself. But i still going to watch the show, it can improve on things, or if not for season one, for season 2 if it fully gets off the ground and happens.

This show is definitely an acquired taste. I thought the latest episode wasn't as bad as the previous two. Anyway, it's not exactly meant for adults. It's a children show, so as long as they like it...

I was just wondering, because they never made it clear whether or not it was only for the premiere episodes.

Anyway, as most of you know, I enjoyed the show last week, so I'm sure I'll enjoy this ep' t:

This is what i had my issue with the latest Spidey episode:
- Like the previous episodes, Spider-Man is reckless and immature, but the first two episodes we're meant to be Power & Responsibility for him, yet he still acts immature on this episode and he even is aware of it. Likewise we have White Tiger and others not reporting Nick Fury on what they're doing.
- Nick Fury "the Superspy" has no clue about where the kids are? He has no idea whats happening with his own SHIELD Agents? Whaaaat theee? Not to mention being completely okay with this? Not to mention DOCTOR DOOM NOT using his Latverian rulership as an advantage againts SHIELD for what the kids did?
- Sam Alexander and Peter's rivalry is forced, blandly written and not real-like teenage hormone issues whatsoever. Just really childish.

The writing for the show isn't pleasing for both adults and children, which is sad, because just that kind of fightning is what stops this show from ever ebcoming as good as Spectacular Spidey, Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Batman: the Brave & the Bold, Superman TAS, Batman TAS, JL/JLU.

I did like Iron Fist and Luke Cage, which from looking at forums seems to be one of the few reasons us grown up fans are even bothering with this.

A little better than last week's, but it's not saying much. The gags and jokes still ruin most of the show. The jetpack thing was annoyingly stupid, and Spidey's "WHOA" when the others stepped up to take responsibility completely ruined what could have been a great moment. The ONLY remotely amusing part was Coulson worried about his cover job as a principal, and that's stretching it.

Doom was played surprisngly straight in this one, and while not as impressive as his showing in the other show, I am glad they didn't reduce Doom to typical 80's villain that gets easily defeated.

Cipes is great as Danny. And I loved the moments between bros Iron Fist and Power Man in this episode.

good episodes so far. I like that there will be recurring roles for Power Man, Iron Fist, White Tiger and Nova.. I like that there will probably be various other Marvel heroes and villains to show up, unemcumbered by the movie deals..
I can see how the various tech items and vehicles that show up on the series will likely be toys, if they aren't already..
... So here Conners is more of a gadget-engineer rather than a biologist? Hmm.. we'll see whether he eventually becomes...

So Mary Jane is more of a gal-pal than girlfriend here? neat..

I agree, but to an extent: the average child that makes up the targeted audience is not going to be concerned about continuity, thematic richness, or the differences between the Ultimate and 616 universes. But, I agree that the creative team should not lower their standards, either.

But, you raise an interesting point, though: Marvel has not found their Bruce Timm yet. Paul Dini's involvement is a plus, but, at the end of the day, Jeph Loeb has the final word... and I am too tired to proceed with the debate about the artistic and critical merits of his works.

They had Craig Kyle & Christopher Yost but decided to **** with their creative freedoms instead. You can see in the latest Jeph Loeb interview how little he cares about Avengers, and how he hypes Spider-Man.

I think the main thing is here is that we were all spoiled by Spectacular Spiderman which ended too soon.
