He was blown up by Nimrod, and reformed with a little help from Hellion, and that is how he came out of it....with the new look.

The Nimrod arc starts with issue 28 and ends with 31, it's best to get the whole arc. Issue 32 is the Jay Guthrie memorial issue. You also get a look at santo and his amazingly fitting cloths in it.

On a sidenote, I still find the "Kevin thing' at the end of 32 creepy.

...So no more Mammomax huh? Looks like he turned out to be the endangered species, after all. But what upset me, is that it didn't even seem like he tried to fight back. That acid vomit of his would have come in handy, instead of dying like a scared coward.

I mean, how does he have the balls to go up against the X-Men, but not some other creature? Unless it was more than one in the enclosure wih him.

I hate that they killed him, I love New X-Men, but for them to kill him off, really made me mad. I hope he has some kind of extreme healing factor.

Still, this looks like a book that I'm getting attached to.... And would you look at that... Bling is back!!!! ... Well, hopefully. I'd love to see her in action. My only problem is that Onyx has no real worth on the team, since Rockslide is already there. I wouldn't be surprised if Onyx went to the darkside and they became rivals.

Hellion and X-23 is very Wolverine/Jean Grey-ish, it would be cool to eventually see a mutant girl with energy projection powers like Cyclops, come between Hellion and X-23, it would be very ironic.

New X-Men is like one of my top 5 books, it is amazing, the characters, the writing, the art, everything about New X-Men is awesome, except for Mammomax being killed.

I already hate how they're writing Bling. She was all gung ho to being able to control her powers to a good degree and even becoming an X-Man, and now she wants out. Whatever. Par for course with these writers.
