For those who have seen it. Does Cobra Commander get a decent amount of screen time, and what is his voice like?

For those who have seen it. Does Cobra Commander get a decent amount of screen time, and what is his voice like?

He sounds like he did at the end of the last one. They should have gave him something similar to the cartoon voice. He has a decent supporting role scrren time wise, but not as much as the other villains.

CC didn't get alot of screen time, that was probably the most disappointing thing of the movie. Well that and Duke. It's a shame they killed him off once I start liking Tatum.

At least it's consistant with the first film. As much as I would have liked him to have a similar voice like the cartoon, I didn't mind the voice they used in the first film.

Well that and Duke. It's a shame they killed him off once I start liking Tatum.

I figured they would have retconned that with those reshoots they had.

I knew he was going to die before the trailers ever hit though, my cousin is in the film and was telling me about that last year.

Was hoping CC would have gotten more screen time. I'm actually excited to see this tonight. Didn't care for the first film and figured this couldn't be worse.

Just got back. I really liked it! I love a good fun cheesy movie. It was way better than the first. Go see it without expecting some super serious movie. You'll have fun!

Also the 3d is pretty great. I can't stand 3d, I have yet to be wowed by it. Avatar and The Hobbit did absolutely nothing for me. This one eh wasn't mind blowing but they did it really creatively. The characters don't neccessarily pop out but bullets, and swords, and explosions do. Which was cool and non headache inducing.

Since he switches masks in the movie I suppose they could have done something to his voice. The movie is still real goofy so I think it actually would have added to the fun of it.

Much happier with what we got. I felt like this should have been the first movie. Cobra is in a much better situation for taking over than they were in the first one. The Joes are in good shape. Really sets up for an epic sequel. Really loved Cobra Commander in this. He looks bad ass. He just oozes bad ass, how he walks, how he talks, how he handles himself everything was awesome. Also really loved the Storm Shadow/Snake Eyes fight and the Roadblock/Firefly fight, that one reminded me of Equilibrium.

Yeah he looked great in the movie. Good to have a cobra commander who looks like cobra commander. The faceplate is easier to translate to live action than that mask would be too

I was really enjoying this movie up until the scene where Snake is fighting Jinx. After that it kinda fell apart IMO and became muddled and full of ridiculous exposition. I wouldn't say it was a terrible movie but it wasn't much better than the first.

And honestly what were they thinking casting Rza? Seriously he was absolutely brutal. Also I was aghast that they

killed Destro. He became Destro at the end of the first one and then gets killed as soon as he comes on camera in this one. And for no apparent reason. Bleh.

He didnt get killed. Or even hurt. Maybe you're thinkin of someone else though. Destro was just in the tube the whole time

I enjoyed it thoroughly, thought it was everything a G.I. Joe live action movie should be.

Was it a perfect film, god no, but it didn't need to be.

Looks like the movie will open #1 but with a lower opening than the first.

Luckily this one had a smaller budget. The films should make back all it's money within the first week. It's estimated 100 million international box office. I know some people don't think that counts , but a sequel seems likely. Go Joe!

The voice sounds nothing like Levitt did at the end of the first movie. There's less flair to it in this movie, where Levitt was having fun with the voice, this one is more serious sounding.

The low tone filter sounded about the same imo as far as effect. Nothing dramatically different. I'm sure there is a difference in how they actually talk since it's two different actors doing the voice. I agree JGL had more fun with it.

LOL, the RT score on this is actually lower than the first one.

I still have to see it, but there's no way it could be that bad. Still, I guess it goes to show you that even if a movie is better than it's awful predecessor, that doesn't necessarily mean it's good.

I ended up liking it a lot more than the first, but was very disappointed that (like many) that Tatum was killed off so fast. I was just hoping the rumors of them keeping him around for a lot more of the film was the reason for the delay.

Overall, I loved the use of the vehicles, I loved the mountain ninja fight, I loved Palicki's midriff.

I hadn't seen the first one because I thought it looked absolutely terrible, but I thought this one was pretty fun. It was worth seeing for the mountain ninja fight alone.

I'm actually really disappointed with the movie. All I expected was a cool movie with lots of badass action scenes and clever one-liners, I got none of that. The action was shot way too shaky, they killed off Duke and gave us Flint, who did absolutely nothing for the movie as a whole, and CC was a waste. He looked awesome, but sounded stupid and didn't do anything badass.

The first act was pretty awesome IMO.
