I just heard the next newuniversal issue's coming out in not too long after all. It's due out the exact same month as the final Ultimate Hulk vs Wolverine issue!

IMO, Ellis needs to shape up or ship out. Start getting the scripts in on time or he should be replaced with either Jim Shooter (one of the original creators of the New U, although everyone at Marvel hates him) or... I don't know... someone else.

EDIT: Also, Kurth does waaaaaayyy too much definition on the facial features.

Obviously, I am exceptionally surpassingly late on this... but I've just read this TPB, and it is AWESOME! I've haven't been this excited about a comic in a long while. Apparently there's nothing after this, but this comic really did rock my world. I'm so happy with it, I'll even resurrect a long-dead thread.

So, I guess this is your chance to be happy for me... or share your experiences, or bemoan the loss of this great potential franchise...

But yeah, I agree, it's a shame it's not getting a bigger push. I loved the old New Universe, and the new take was even better.

yeah, New Universal was fantastic. Actually I asked Quesada about this when I got to interview him last August and he just rattled off some bullcrap about how it's just a matter of time but they haven't forgotten about it. It's been how many years now since that last issue. Man, I hate liars. He should just admit it's dead in the water.

Warren Ellis has it on his site that he is going to return to this with Kurth to complete the Shockfront (although he mistakenly called it Stormfront) miniseries after he and Kurth are done on their Ultimate Iron Man project. Don't know if we should take this seriously.
