I wont even see this movie if it's any less than 188.3 minutes. :o

Not every one. But the ones that have a lot of characters and arcs to juggle, sure why not? And this movie has the added issue of being the "finale" of the "trilogy" that began in FC, and thus needed to wrap up at least some of the dangling plot threads from the first two movies.

why are you under the assumption that this is the finale of a trilogy? Have they said anything to support that?

It did not, as clearly shown my the movie itself.

3 hours, 11 minutes, 52 seconds.

Or I will end lives. :o

I fully await the reception of the Rogue Cut. No matter the pacing issues, many will claim it shouldn't have been cut.

When are we going to get that goddamn release, anyway?

And they'll be wrong. It's fan service. I'm glad those people will be happy to see 10 extra minutes of footage that muddles the plot rather than further it, but that's all it is.

I fully believe that if it weren't for certain people *****ing NON STOP we would have just gotten the Rogue parts as deleted scenes on the first bluray.

^ (edit: You have to agree, though, people were excited to see Rogue's return and were hoping she'd take down a sentinel or two. They should have just never announced Paquin, like they did with Marsden and Jansen.)

I can barely sit through 1 hour of film without feeling like it's too much time spent sitting down, eyes fixed on the screen. Humans actualy have 15 minute attention spans, after which they need some sort of break or relief, but I'm sure filmmakers know that (sorry, so random)

Anyway, I could see Nightcrawler as Mystique & Magneto's son. Azazel would serve almost no purpose here, plus they could set up a family tree/feud and a possible rivalry between "brothers" Nightcrawler and Quicksilver. Some fans already predicted that fight. Cherry on top: Have him fall in love with Wanda, like in Wolverin & the X-Men. >:3 so cliché, i know

... or maybe the story needed another teleporter? it is a very useful ability after all.

I'm glad to know there are so many people interested (me included) and willing to buy the Rogue Cut. It shows Fox Rogue is a very popular character as well.

Im buying it but its not bc I like Rogue or care for her as a character. People are curious about the cut and I dont think its a statement of her popularity

^ then what happened to "the past: a new and uncertain world. A world of endless possibilities and infinite outcomes... Enough ripple, and you change the tide... for the future is never truly set" ??? (Charles' last lines in DOFP)

The end of a trilogy does not mean the end of a series. The main focus of the last two films was the story of Charles and Erik's relationship and the role Mystique played to bring them together/break them apart. This is the conclusion of that story thread...

this film is called the X-men so either way you have to put things into that structure that people know from the comics, apocalypse is the origin of the X-men so this film will complete the stuff built up from FC onwards from charles and eric being friends to them reaching their destiny as it were

They have more freedom to play around with the ripple idea obviously

Do people even realize how long 3 hours is for a blockbuster? You're suppose to leave an action movie feeling pumped up, not sluggish and jaded. I don't think anyone's ever praised a movie for its length. Brevity is the soul of wit.

movies certainly get criticized for their length and there are plenty of films that could have been improved by being longer. I think The Last Stand comes to mind. That could benefited from some more scenes to flesh the story out, as well as give some characters like Jean and new member Angel, much needed characterization. There also should have been more buildup leading into the final battle. I've always thought it was too short for what it was trying to achieve

Ah, but you twisted my words. I said "praised" not criticized. People don't say "I love that movie's screentime".

and there are plenty of films that could have been improved by being longer.

Twisting my words again. Of course there are movies that could have been longer. There's movies that could have been shorter too.

I wasnt twisting your words (at least not intentionally). My point was that it goes both ways with length. I know what you said. Im the one that said criticized as a counterpoint to what you said about praise

Again? Its the same sentence quoting that same one post
