Born in 1996, he's pretty much the perfect age (needs to look 19 or 20) for Nightcrawler in a 1983 Apocalypse movie.

Also he isn't at pictures at begin, when Xavier talks about past. There are those two I wrote earlier (black hair and other with spikes at face), some black mutant, and the other that definitely isn't Banshee too.

Has a pretty unique look about him that I think would work well for Kurt.
seeing pics of him, he seemed familiar, but wasnt sure why, and after checking IMDB, I saw it: 'Let me in' reboot with Chloe.
Agreed that he has an unique look that would make him an interesting choice. Not sure if he could bring a more comedic Kurt, but since we dont know Bryan's vision yet, its up to him

I'm willing to blame the director, as I honestly had no real problem with the writing save for a couple of sections, and I can't see the writer describing in minute detail how she moved her hands and face every time she used her powers.
^ Plus I think it's fair to say that Carrie's character, and the way she acted while using her powers, is very different than Jean Grey and the way she has been depicted, in both print and on screen, while using her powers...

Nightcrawler has usually been portrayed one of two ways (and sometimes both). One is the circus performer, and the other is the highly religious person often living as a monk.

I think X2 hit his character perfectly actually where it showed his whole religious side on quite a dark level but then had the comedic circus references. Nightcrawler has always been a dark character in terms of his themes (he has been referred to as the devil in comics and cartoons by humans because of how he looked and he is highly religious which is one of the things you didnt see much of in comics when he was introduced) and so when balanced with the lighter circus angle which still has dark undertones, makes him so loveable (especially as he is always so nice). That is what I want to see again.

I'm hoping that the whole tatoo, cut symbols thing for Nightcrawler is not used this time.
New timeline, so no need to keep that aspect. I'd rather see a fun Kurt than a zealot Kurt. Have him be the acrobatic, fun Kurt that comes from his background in the circus. Actually show us that a bit.
Better yet, at some point have him use a sword! Maybe even have him use his prehensile tail with the sword on one point in that battle.

Sorry but I disagree. That was one of the best make-up design choices they made. Visually appealing as well as adding depth to his character.
I want a fun circus Kurt as well, but I want the tattoos a part of his look as well.

Thats what I think too. I think x2 did it in a nice way where he clearly had the Circus drummed into him and was happy to show that off about himself. If the X-Men go to Munich in Apoc then I hope we get a trip to the circus.

I would love to see this, hopefully Nightcrawler is in this movie he is 2nd fav character and I would love to see him again.

its clear singer won't be held back by what he has done previously if he feels he can do better, so he will keep the tattoos as long as he wants them kept

The point is not that the director and writer can do whatever they want, but what we the fans think is the best.
Some would like to see Nightcrawler have the tatoo symbols as a homage to X2, while I feel they should try to stay away from the whole religious side of Nightcrawler and instead focus on the circus performer, acrobatic, swashbuckling, fun Nightcrawler. The one that uses swords and says things like:
"Did I put my tail in my mouth?"
"Aye carumba. Bet you thought I was going to say something cute in German, didn't you?"
"Hey, whats the fun in fighting for a world that hates and fears you if you can't make a stupidly heroic gesture once in awhile?"
"When you're born with a tail, you learn to go through doors fast."
Things like that... fun! So guess what I'm saying is that I would rather have this:
