seriously though...i'm with the camp that doesn't get how they ever thought of power rangers when they see ARMORED suits. spandex comes to mind when i think of Power Rangers. i always thought recent armored suits looked more like Guyver than anything.

i believe it started with people seeing these power rangers

in which case yes it is similar to a power ranger suit from the film.They had armor set into the fabric just like goblin.that halo suit doesnt look remotly similar to those suits though but looks quite japanese.

I would totally agree Goblin was Ranger-ish.Complaints like that always come off as fanboy talk tho.Same goes for Batman-Why do they still think that whole molded rubber muscle deal looks cool-Its been played out since Burton's Bat's-Armored up like a Gay Roman Gladiator with that molded chest plate-Is it Batman or Clash of the Titans?
And they just screwed the pooch on goblin.If he had true Scalemail with moving pieces and a terrifying mask he woulda be ill.To quote Blade on his mask "Whats this? F@#k You? Thats supposed to be tactical?"
As if Army subcontractors fabricated a helmet like that?And for what purpose?It didn't have any gadgety-ness to it?Other than controllable lenses....

I can see why Green Goblin and Batman have armored costumes. You can't go into battle wearing tights, you need protection from blasts. But GG helmet could have been more GG like.

the army didnt make the mask, Osborn did it himself...that's why they show all the masks around his study at home, to show he has an interest in scary masks...and it wasnt supposed to be tactical, it was supposed to be scary...and say what you will, if that guy flew over to you and threw a pumpkin bomb in your friends face, you'd be f**kin scared by it and you know it.
