In regards to Guy Pearce... nah. He's never really been that good for me. He's a really nice guy in person, but his acting style is just not real enough for me to get into it. Hard to explain... the closest I can get to it is that he's too theater for me. Which almost sounds like an insult against theater actors... who of which I love very much. lol, Hmm, yes. Very hard to explain. Long and short of it is that sometimes I feel he is too animated, and other times I feel he isn't animated enough.

Well then we'll have to agree to disagree! I think he is a outstanding actor, his performances in LA Confidential and Memento were brilliant IMO. And cement my belief that he would make a PERFECT Riddler. That's if it's the Fed route though.

I'm not going to just slam him or disagree with him because of the wording he uses because i've said to him before to tone it down and not speek down to people, but that's just the way he gets his points across. Quite a engrossing debate. I'm on Melkays side here though. Not just because I like TDK and Nolans other work but because he seems to be explaining his opinions better. And he is right, some opinions can be wrong if not fully explained or explained poorly. It's like me walking up to a complete stranger and saying to him "In my opinion, you are a tosser! I've never met you before but I think you're a tosser! But I'm allowed to do that, because it's my opinion."

Technically speaking, wrong and right in a situation of personal opinion against someone's character is all in the eye of the beholder. The normal social class may see it as an inaccurate assumption of who a person really is, but someone that also hates this complete stranger would agree with you. And what if it was a majority opinion? That could also make it more right than wrong.

But I was more talking about opinions on entertainment characters that were created specifically to be judged. Thus, opinions on the character, his or her world, and whatever else they have to offer can not possibly be wrong or right. Majority does not make any one opinion technically right. It just makes it majority.

Well yea I suppose my example wasn't exactly the same as judging film performances and the like. And I understand your opinions, I just wholeheartedly disagree with them. I think Memento is a nigh on masterpiece. But yea, thats just my opinion.

Yea man I agree with ya, it is out of order. He used to try the same things with me. But I just laughed it off and came back with a response of my own, thats all you can do. Take it easy, you'll do yourself a mischief!
