Nolan introduction on Absolute The Long Halloween

ASB&R isn't finished yet, therefore I reserve my judgement on it till it's done.:whatever:

And you're the last person that should talk about taste. If i gave you cash you wouldn't be able to buy any.:yay:

My taste is incredibly awesome. Unlike yours :o

Your taste is worse than GAH's  :(

TLH beats the **** out of every "20 something batman fights mobsters and villains" story. Every. Single. One.

If you think Hush is better than Dark Victory, you're an idiot.

The only real flaw with TLH is forcing in supervillains for the sake of it, but even that can be overlooked because it shows us Sale and Loeb's wonderful versions of the classic characters.

Go back to the drawing board kid, you're out of you're league.:o

I don't own any of the Absolute editions, but TLH is probably my favorite comic ever. Are they worth it? I've never actually seen inside of one.

This I don't agree with. Calendar Man had a big Hannibal Lecter vibe off him in TLH. Batman goes to a psychotic criminal in an asylum, who is behind glass in his cell, and asks for his help in tracking down a serial killer.

Calendar Man is giving Batman cryptic clues and hints in their conversations.

I know this is an old post but....

I Don't think Calendar Man & Hannibal Lecter have anything in common other than that they're both criminals and they're both kept behind glass (which has been done in batman WAAAAAY before TLH)

the similarties are from "The Silence of the Lambs" not Dr. Lecter himself.

Perhaps a connection between Batman and Clarice Starling, or Will Graham.

That's what we're saying.

There was a whole Hannibal Lecter scenario going on there. We're not saying Calender Man is like Hannibal Lecter himself. But the situation and how he was helping Batman was just like Hannibal Lecter with Clarice Starling.

Calendar man was in an asylum behind glass, helping Batman by giving him cryptic clues about a serial killer that Batman was trying to catch.

I only own one, but I think that it was absolutely worth it. Although, I'm sure it could depend on which one you're getting. They are a lot larger than a regular hardcover, and are usually loaded with some good extras.
