I wonder if she'll take her shoes off.
Well that's the rule isn't it? You can't jump in front of that bus in those heels.....

always straight don't give her your numberSo at work the other night, this girl comes into my store with her friend. My co-worker and one of his buddies come up talking to me about how this girl likes me or whatever, and I'm just shrugging it off, thinking that they are playing - until she comes up to me talking about how I need some "brown sugar" in my life.
Her and I start talking, and I'm really not impressed. I'm not feeling it. She's young, trying too hard, and not particularly attractive. So I finally get around to getting back to work, and as she leaves, she asks for my number. I'm still unsure as to the reasoning why I do, but I give it to her. I guess I was just trying to be nice.
So today is day 3 since I've given her my number, and I have as many messages from her. Text, that is. She's texted me everyday since. I haven't responded back yet - I've been working or partying since. But I don't feel like responding back. I'm not really interested.
So whenever a girl gives me her number, and I call or text, and don't respond, well, now I know how they feel. Not interested, but, I guess simply put, not man enough to say as much. *sigh*
It's VERY hard. You don't want to hurt someones feelings or assume they want it only because they are interested in you in that way. But with enough practice, you can get used to it.Why can't people ever just be straightforward about things? You can't just say you're not interested, but you have to ignore her and dodge her or dream up some lie to tell her? Just tell her you're not interested. What's so hard about that?

You're not sparing someone else's feelings by just saying you're not interested, you're sparing your own. It's not tactful, it's being spineless. It also gives the other person false hope only to disappoint them later on when you're not around to have to look them in the eye. And if you're unsure as to why they want your number, then ASK them. All this tip-toeing around issues like this is what leads to misunderstandings and more hurt feelings than their needs to be.

Just say that you're homosexual.
Problem fixed.
