Now that Hollywood is seemingly targeting the 90's, what do/don't you want to see?

They had a prime opportunity with Captain Marvel and featuring tons of 90s pop and rock hits there. But they missed the boat on that one.

Nothing written by DR is in reference to ANYTHING the thread title refers to. Nothing.

Street Fighter?
Spider-Man Unlimited season 2 (Bring back Rino Romano)
The Rock
Demolition Man
Falling Down
(this might be more relevant these days)

When you stop and think about it, they totally couldn’t do Johnny Bravo now in this era of MeToo. All that groping and touching random women, he would get arrested lol.
Isn't the show about a very dumb teenager with raging hormones who keeps getting rejected by babes and he moves on to try and flirt the next without molesting but still gets punished for harassment? Sounds like they can make it work.

yeah I think they almost had it with that No Doubt song placement. But they might have held back a bit too far

Captain Planet

oh my gosh yes that would be amazing.

Animorphs film with a decent budget would be great.

heaven! I really don’t know why they haven’t already tried that

I don’t think it’s that hard. Just make it about him learning how to respect women. Easy.

They did...

The Nineties - CNN

And we've been getting a few 90s based films too...

Mid-90s
I, Tonya
Richard Jewell
The People v. O.J. Simpson
The Wackness
Climax
Honey Boy
The Fighter
Joy

I've seen the CNN documentary and a couple other 90s documentary in addition to a few of the films you mentioned.

I know they've already done movies and docs since.... I've seen them. I'm just stating my preference , I'm not claiming they haven't done them yet.

I still haven't seen a full documentary devoted to soley Fox tv in the 80s and 90s, though I saw the segment they did on it in the CNN doc.[/QUOTE]

I'd like to see a live action Ren and Stimpy or Pinky and the Brain movie.

Also, Gargoyles. That needs to happen asap

Gargoyles in computer animation could be weird enough to work (while live action+CGI incredibly stupid).

I don't think Captain Planet would translate well, too much a cartoon especially the cartoony villains and with the hypocrisy about making toys of it.

You kidding? It's super easy- 5 mystical rings burned, hidden all over the globe. Each ring summons the will and power of either earth, wind, fire, water, heart. The children are drawn tot he ring, they either find them, get bestowed them, get given them..... they then connect, online, through social media.. one action draws out another, one goes looking for answers etc... anyways - they solve most of the issues themselves - but when all is deemed lost, they combine the rings and summon a force they cannot understand.. earths greatest champion.

If it were me, I would have Capt Planet look like like an ancient, native inspired humanoid creature.

^The whole idea of kids/teenagers knowing best, being our saviors or even guardians of the savior, feels pretty dated, a filmmaker would probably feel inclined to try to increase as the angst as was done, I think not well, in Power Rangers 17.

One that's definitely a long shot, maybe not very commercial, but would be really cool would be a remake of The Siege but with Denzel Washington as the antagonist.

You could totally do Gargoyles in live action I think.

Freakazoid? I'm not sure I want a live-action Freakazoid. New episodes or a reboot? Yes all the way, as long as the main players come back.

Who says they know best?

Thinking it over, it would probably work better as a Netflix show. There's enough material for at least four seasons.

that’s the dream! Even prime, everyone would love it if they did it right. Maybe everyone’s waiting to see if she hulk can pull of CGI before they try it idk

I still want them to try Biker Mice from Mars, but the concept is so ridiculous... You'd need James Cameron to pull it off.

Greatest sketch comedy show ever. I want the next generation of this show.

Oh man, it could totally work... it just needs a slight tweak....

3 anthropomorphic aliens are on the run in space, they are being attacked by an enemy - they divert to a worm hole as their only hope of escaping, which makes the onslaught increase 10 fold. The make it - as they burst out the other side, they hurtle towards earth, crash landing on a baseball field. Charley, a young girl discovers them and takes them in to the closed garage of where she works as a trainee mechanic. She learns they are the last of their kind - she see's their individual craft, which resemble jet ski's, motorbikes etc and is amazed to see them so intrigued by the bikes in her shop and how quickly they see and fix the issues on them. She gives them spare clothes and food and ponders them fo a while, and nick names them... biker mice from mars.
Turns out the worm hole was made by the enemy - the plutarkian's as a means to travel through time/space to plunder resources of other planets and that they had been on earth for a few decades - she showed YouTube footage of weird sightings and 'hoaxes' which the biker mice all confirm evidence of them.

They release a video to get the attention of the enemy, which it does... and a show down ensues.
