Also worth noting is that all 11 of Rollins errors are fielding errors. 7 of Tulowitzki's errors are thorwing errors.

now this i can agree with. tulo was the best fielding shortstop in baseball this year, not just the NL. this just is just further proof of how worthless this award is. at least jeter didn't win again.

They are just about identical except for Putouts, Assists, and Range factor per 9 innings. Defense stats are still imperfect, let's just give the award out based on those gutsy intagibles like leadership and all that jazz

Tulo has significantly more Assists than Rollins, which of course would only happen if the pitchers had a better groundout-to-flyout ratio, (or K/9). But for the fact that Tulo played 65 less innings than Rollins while having more Assists and Putouts definently shows he was more active in the field. I wonder however, how his stats would differ had he played as many innings as Rollins did.

Very good RFg and RF9. He plays in NY helps. However, it's not a good thing. It certainly wasn't for the other 30-some idiots on his team.
