The Devil Rays are no more.

Please welcomes the TAMPA BAY RAYS and their new colors navy blue, light blue, and yellow!

This is bull****. I liked the name and old colors.

Well, I just saw the new uniforms and I'll be damned, they're nice!

Damn those don't look like Major League uniforms.

Peavy to New York does violate the Hank Steinbrenner "Hughes, Kennedy, and Joba will never be traded" stance. But I can't help but wonder, if they have an opportunity to acquire Johan at somepoint (and they would be one of the first teams to get on that I would think), wouldn't it be worth giving up one or two of those guys?

Why would the Twins want to give the best pitcher in baseball to a team they would likely have to play against in the post-season? The point of trading him would be not only get more than 3 good, young players but would also be to get him out of the league. There are NL teams that could give them a good, if not better, package than the Yankees (who really have no one in their farm system besides those 3).

they look like minor league uni's.

If the Twins trade Santana, they won't be going to the playoffs next season.

I think they should've dropped the Bay part as well. Tampa Rays flows better to me. I do like the uniforms though. They look better than I thought they would.

Yankees would likely sign him to an extension if they did. The last thing the Twins will want to do is have to face him early on in the post-season if they do get into the playoffs.

As long as Cleveland and Detroit don't fall off the face of the map, the Twins, with a Santana-less team, will not make the playoffs. Not for a while anyway.

Well, the Twins are obviously going to pull all the stops to resign him. But the vibes he gave during the season about wanting out of Minnesota doesn't bode well, especially when they let Torrii Hunter walk. But I doubt they could resign the both to big deals. I'm just saying the Yankees would definently be the first team to con Bill Smith into a deal.

You can't do much better than Hughes and Melky...

Yay... now they can be the Blue Jays kid brother on the block...

The Twins can do much better. Don't buy into the Yankees' hype that those 2 are as good as the Yankees believe. Melky is nothing more than a 4th OF on a good team. The Twins don't want pitching since they already have a lot of young pitching in their farm.

The Mitchell Report has 11 free agents on the list. One of them already named was Jose Guillen. The rest you can decide for yourself.

Here's the list of FA.

GMs of teams that need to take that next step to be really good need to stop overvaluing prospects and trade them for impact players. Take the Dodgers for example. They should trade for Miguel Cabrera. All of a sudden they'd be the best team in the NL West.

The Dodgers and Marlins deal for Cabrera could also include Dontrelle Willis.

Cabrera is also the Angels alternative if they don't sign A-Rod. Giants, White Sox, Yankees, Red Sox and Indians are also looking at Cabrera.

I'm thinking maybe Mike Cameron would be on the list. I agree with you on Bonds, Clemens, Gagne and Sosa. The rest i'm not really sure about.

Cause the Dodgers front office are idiots. Have been for the last 17 years. See the, Pedro trade and Piazza trade and huge contracts to washed up players.

But, I give Ned Credit for not trading the players yet, But I fear the pressure to fix the 3rd base hole will lead to him making a nervous move like the Pierre signing or the Loaiza signing.

hehehehehe, guess who Ned signed today! At least, it was a inexpensive signing.

I will go out on a limb and say Clemens isn't in the report at all.
