The vampire story is only the first 6 issues, I believe. People are making a big deal over nothing. After 1 issue it's already better than Fraction's Uncanny imo.

The vampires in this are nothing like Twilight anyway. I don't even know why people are making that comparison. Vampires were around long before that.

Yeah so what if the X-Men are fighting Vampires, they make an interesting foe. Just because the Twilight movies are crap dosent' mean that everything involving Vampires will be. Hell the last arc of Captain Britain & MI-13 where they were fighting Vampires was awsome...

I don't think many of us are avoiding this b/c of any Twilight comparison, but b/c it's stupid and hardly seems fitting for the X-Men's first problem post-Second Coming.

I'm just burned out on vampires. Angel was one of my favorite TV shows a few years back, but I can hardly watch any of the reruns I spot in the early morning.

Fair enough, I'm sure many people are burnt out on Vampries by now but I'll never get tottally sick of them, kinda like Zombies will always be cool. However Marvel does tend to drag things out into the ground. Marvel Zombies 5?! WTF?!

Those are not Zombies those are the cannibalistic walking dead that kind of Zombie created by Romero was stated by him not to be Zombies but the dead. A zombie is a person who's soul has been taken by another and their empty body does the will of that person. Sorry always have this rant lol. I may have a feeling someone will prove me wrong also lol.

Hey guys, I'm trying to get back into x-books. Any recommendations? I'd prefer to not be reading a title that centers around logan but one that includes scott, kurt, and the rest of em. I'm not averse to wolvie at all, just don't want a title that focuses on only him. Any suggestions?

Try Uncanny X-Men or the newly relaunched X-Men (no adjective at the beginning of the title).

If you want something featuring Kurt, you'll have to look for older comics. He died a couple months ago.

yeah unfortunately we wont be seeing Kurt anymore (until the next writer decides to resurrect him). if you like Scott check out Uncanny, though hes much less in the field nowadays. the new X-Men series is a perfect jumping on point. i dont know how far out of the loop youve been, but if you havent read Whedon's Astonishing X-Men i highly recommend it. now its a little old but its still probably the best X-Men run in the past 10 years.

I'd try out the new "adjectiveless" X-men if i where you it's probs gonna pick up after this arc. You will find Scott and Logan in Uncanny but the book has been pretty terrible so i'd avoid it like the plague untill it gets better

Anyway good issue, just a question or 2 has the Marvel universe always had those Monster looking vampires and those with the Ratty teeth?

I like Medina art but I dont feel it appropriate for this title, at least not this story. Vampries, blood and the stuff themes they are going for here are kinda gothic and dark. I think someone like Crain would have made for a better fit. I still kinda associate Medina with the light hearted stuff New X-men.

I really do not understand Scott's plan to [blackout]resurrect Dracula[/blackout] Exactly how is that supposed to fix things?

ditto. it was good taking a break from all the mutant politic on Utopia and seeing Logan and Pete just on a mission.
