Comics Official (adjectiveless) X-MEN Discussion Thread

Wolverine sells, and especially today has become an iconic image due in large part to Hugh Jackman's portrayal of him in the movies. That, and people just like the character, I'd assume.

Ellis has been using Storm for the entirety of his Astonishing run, both in the Astonishing main and in Xenogenesis. And Storm was in Uncanny, and is back in Uncanny. I dunno. That's enough Storm, far as I'm concerned.

Astonishing gets delayed so much and comes out so infrequently that its easy to ignore and forget. Storm hasnt had a significant role in UXM in god knows how long. She is utilized just as much as all the other dozens of X-men making the occasional cameo aside from the usual suspects. I wish she had more of a significant place within the Xmen these days. Hopefully the NY arc does her justice

IA on Iceman. Its even worse for him these days :(

So did I. Is that still being published?

you see and thats a problem. It is still publishing but it still can not maintain a consistent schedule so people forget it even exists. Xenogenesis, the mini that began in May, still hasnt released all 5 of its issues.

I'm so glad Marvel keeps pumping out mini or semi-sister series like Xerogenesis that publish intermittently and perform mediocrely, but we lose series like MI:13

Isn't she the current leader of the street team in Uncanny?

As in, the only team currently operational and not in lockdown on Utopia?

Nope, Warren is leading the current street team. His caption box said "Warren Worthington III--Angel. Wings. In charge."

Correct. Warren was appointed leader of that team.

I know if I'm going to appoint a field leader, I'm picking the one with the unstable dual personalities over the woman who once led the team for years on her own.

Yeah, wasn't she just the "extra help" that Scott called in since everyone else was sick? Heck, if that all was the case, I would have like to see Northstar call his sister Aurora down for some assistance.

I found it weird that Jeanne was never asked to join the X-Men. I know she's got multiple personality disorder, but it's not like she's Legion or anything.

Norman tried to recruit her his Dark X-men and her crazy ass went ballistic on him. Cyclops probably thinks she isnt worth the hassle

Norman tried to electrify her just because she wasn't paying attention to him, so she fought back and called him a hypocrit for not embracing his own wilder personality. At worst, I think Scott would just bench Aurora's wild personality and send her more compliant sides in the field.

Well, hey, I was close.

At least I wasn't wrong about her actually being in Uncanny.

But strange rumors have come to the attention of the X-Men, and Storm and her team are off to New York City to investigate. What do they find in the dank sewers beneath Manhattan? Only New York's favorite wall-crawler has the answers.

Aw man! I thought Terry Dodson was doing the art on the inside of the book too! Oh well I'm a fan of Chris Bachalo as well, just a little disappointed.

Dodson is drawing Uncanny for Gillen's first solo arc.

Chris Bachalo noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! His art is way to busy he always has to have pieces/bits of things/people flying around in his art.

In my humble opinion (in other words, I don't know what the hell I'm talking about) I think he's improved.

Until he's back to being able to making people look like they have normal body types and not like they're Gumby models, he won't be improved in my eyes. He wasn't that bad when he was back doing Gen X, but he's just gotten worse, IMO, like he's rushing or just doesn't care.
