Endgame Official Avengers: Endgame General Discussion Thread!

A lot of people believe that the Hulk featured in Avengers: Endgame is Professor Hulk. However, that may not be the case. Check out the following.

^Been saying this since AEG came out. I think a lot of younger fans just don't have the frame of reference to the 80's/Secret Wars era Hulk stories and are only aware of a "Smart Hulk" in the context of the version created by Peter David and expanded upon by Paul Jenkins from the 90's and then the late 90's/early 2000's.

Admittedly, I learned about Banner-Controlled Hulk after doing research.

Getting closer to the record. YouTube has a live stream.

At this point the marketing is centered around capturing the moments. I have to commend the Russo Brothers and marketing decisions for Avengers Endgame prior to release. The team did an admarable job in promoting this without spoiling the experience.

Both times I saw this, the audience in my theater really loved the big return of all our favorite heroes to join the battle and defeat Thanos in the climax. It was a very exciting and satisfying scene.

Been saying it for the longest time, that Strange could've just reversed Tony's death like HISE showed and/or just pluck them (Tony/Nat) from the past like they also showed.

I can't speak to the use of the time stone to bring Tony back but...

The film goes out of its way to describe the reasoning for its ideas on time travel. The same reason they cannot go and get Widow is the same reason they must return the stones and the hammer. Taking Tasha away creates a branch timeline where that version of themselves cannot reverse the snap or defeat Thanos from the past using all the stones together.

Ι think it's been explained that the only way to reverse Iron Man's death was to reverse his snap, which in turn means bring back Thanos and his army. Apparently nobody wanted to risk that.

Honestly, when I realized that Tony and Nebula were stranded in space together, I jumped to the same conclusion as this video. :o

Nah, he was too distraught, and seriously injured, to have any naughty thoughts.

That's why they showed on HISE they took the entire glove off. The way that time stone has worked on every movie it's shown is that it reversed just the one object or person it focuses on. Dr. Strange and the apple, all he reversed was the apple alone, not the apple and whoever was eating it. Thanos and Vision, when he reversed Vision's explosion, Wanda didn't get reversed to stand in front of Vision like she was before Thanos flung her away, Thanos only focused on Vision brought him back while Wanda was still on the ground. The Time Stone doesn't reverse everything around you when you use it, only what you focus it on, that's why you take off the glove and reverse Tony.
