Lol John Campea just said that the super bowl spot was a failure because his 3 non movie podcasts he listens to didn't mention it as a favorite...lol wut?

Also that costume Hawkeye has is sleeveless so if it is the Ronin costume it is pretty much a different version of it.

To be fair that was the anecdotal example he used to back his actual point that he thinks the trailer just speaks to people that are already sold on it and doesn't drag new viewers in, and he says that it's a costly spot for something that might not gain anything. I'm not certain he's wrong there, but at the same time I don't care as I'm in the target group (as is John, as he was really hyped himself).

On the other hand I'm not sure that Endgame is a film where you'll attract many new viewers. If you see Endgame you pretty much have to see Infinity War (although not necessarily in theaters), and if you saw IW I think the trailer works, although it might not be the trailer that really takes hype into overdrive. To do that I think they have to show action and some money shots.

I'm sure Marvel is not really concerned with spending $5 million on that ad after having the kind of year they had in 2018. They know the film is sort of selling itself at this point and anything Marvel shows now is just adding to the hype. They're likely more concerned with getting CM off the ground first and then A: EG promos will go into full overdrive.

means the symbols for each avenger inside the "A". So at the top of the A is Widow's symbol, Thor down the right leg of the A, Hulk the next down on the left leg. Cap's below Hulk's. Iron Man's on the cross beam and Hawkeye's the last one on the left leg

Ah gotcha. Thought he meant there was another Avengers A symbol. Thanks

So what was everyone's favorite part of the trailer? Mine was Cap damn near biting his tongue off in sadness/anger (sanger?). Got me super hyped. I really hope the last hour doesn't make it into any trailers or TV spots.

Saw a rumor about Galactus; if he ends up in the movie without being shown at all, that'll blow my mind. He definitely should show up soon, so we can finally get cloud Galactus taste out of our mouths.

I'm in the Robert Myer Burnette camp...show me nothing and it only makes me more excited lol

I'm with you there. I won't be able to keep myself from watching the trailers (TV spots near the premiere I can avoid) but it would have been awesome to go in and not know a single thing. Not even having seen a photo.

Galactus it shoud be since it can be succesor of Thanos and galactus means also intro of the silver surfer

My favorite part was Black Widow. She was so underused in Infinity Wars, she needs to get more screen time here, and it looks like she does. So that’s exciting. Also, Tony and Nebula.

So glad to see Rocket in what looks like the classic comics uniform. The one thing I wish I'd gotten to see out of the Guardians movies.

I don't think that's Rocket's classic comic uniform. Looks like the white-red Quantum Realm suit to me.

Nope, it's the one from the comics

I liked the spot. I like how it looks more cinematic than ever.
I really hope they took their time showing the aftermath of IW at the start of the movie and dwelve on how everything was changed instead of just rush right away towards Thanos.
Some of the aesthetic chocies regarding the characters are not very good, and i am worried about the abuse of out of place jokes this movie could have, otherwise it looks great, this can be THE superhero movie if done right.
Oh and the "Endgame subtitule is still weak, but whatever.
What i am worried about is if this movie, like all others, is just a teaser. They made all the previous movies to lead into Infinity War and IW was like another tease into this one, i fear this one will be yet another tease but for phase 4, a endless cycle of "teaser movies", but i hope i am wrong.
Also, we NEED that group shot of all the heroes with the quote "Avengers, assemble!" by Cap.

I wonder if the scene where Warmachine and Ant-Man are suiting up is when Banner is Hulking out? They looked like they were still at Avengers HQ when that happened? Maybe they're encountering Captain Marvel for the first time or they find out that Nebula is Thanos' daughter and are just plain pissed. That was one of my favorite scenes from the trailer.

Campea is barking up the wrong tree. That's what he often does because he isn't interesting or thoughtful enough being genuine

So i checked out all the footage released for AEG so far. Both the Official Trailer and the TV Spot.
I counted the number of appearances of each character by looking at the different scenes they where featured.

Even though this is still very early stages because we haven't seen much revealing footage at all, there are 2 characters that clearly have the most scenes, Captain America and Black Widow. Then Thor, War Machine, Banner, Ant-Man...

Of course we haven't seen many different scenes featuring Iron Man because obviously is suppose to be part of the mystery as to how he get's rescued. And since Marvel has been playing their cards very close to the chest we haven't seen no action whatsoever, so characters like the Hulk, Captain Marvel... will likely be featured a lot.

Agree, that's exactly what he's saying; and, honestly I think he's not wrong.

The spot was more of a reminder that the EG is nigh at hand, while giving new scenes to those that follow every heart beat of the franchise.

I knew people would have issues with the marketing so far, and while I can't completely blame them this is the kind of marketing more movies should have IMO. Marvel and Disney already know a lot of people are going to see it, so what's the point of giving away the goods? Sure I get what Campea was saying in his argument, but the truth is if people didn't care for IW than they are likely not going to show up for this, but for the rest of us who did and loved it you don't have to do much to convince us otherwise.

I love the marketing for EG so far. It fits the tone of what happened at the end of IW. Cap and Nat might be the two leads in this movie. I am in the camp however that next full trailer needs to be action packed or a little bit more optmistic with a sense of hope.

Galactus still belongs to Fox and can't be used by Marvel/Disney. As long as the merger isn't finalized don't expect to see any of the F4 or X-Men characters featured, even in cameos or post-credit scenes.

Hey wait you know what IW was missing? Where’s Dr. Selvig

i still can't believe marvel pulled this off. 10 years of comic books and the culmination of the first "series" will be endgame. wow. it really is spectacular.
