She will play a big part in whatever the originals think of as a plan. She won't take him on one on one and win.
It would undermine the point of all these films being in a massive connected cinematic universe if any one character beat the big bad on their own. No way Feige turns stupid overnight.

Really really disappointed with captain marvel. Huge step back.

Best part was mid credits scene that was directed by russos for sure.

Really want endgame still but also realized the after endgame I dont really have another movie im super excited for....

Yeah, I don't honestly get too excited about many big movies lately. I was excited to see Spider-Verse because it looked fresh and different, I'm not that excited for Far From Home because it just looks like another Marvel Studios movie. I really am excited for Endgame though. It's Marvel Studios swinging for the fences again.

I just don't seem to get excited over many of the other movies as much anymore. Like Ant-Man and the Wasp? I saw it opening weekend mostly out of obligation, the more I thought about it the more I disliked it because the best thing was the mid-credits scene. When you're making movies that really have nothing to say besides to push that next product then that really irks me. That's what I fear from Captain Marvel, I'm seeing it tomorrow, hoping I enjoy it, but reading stuff like that is a red flag to me because all the effort should go into every movie. Not just the *big* one.

Felt the exact same about Captain Marvel and Ant-Man and the Wasp. I was really bored, and it felt like just another product, as opposed to a real film with a message. Captain Marvel as a character was really bland, she had no journey. I couldn't really tell the difference from when she started out from the movie and when her at the end. Very disappointing movie. Pales in comparison to Wonder Woman. Still, I have no doubts I'll like her much more in Endgame. The Russos make any character way more badass than they are in their individual films.

Yeah honestly the russos should do every mcu movie. No forced humor. Understand every character perfectly. Have done every character the best honestly that wasnt in the cap movies to begin with (thor, iron man, doctor strange, black panther, black widow). They take their movies seriously and make them feel epic.

Russos are incredible that they made the best scene in this movie lol. I think they will make her way better in endgame. They need to put some vulnerabilities into the character. They need to have her tested. The ending had zero stakes cause she was basically god level against everyone else.

The more I think about this movie the less I like it. I need to binge the other mcu movies to wash my mouth.

Yeah. That should have been her "No Man's Land" moment. It should have been an awe-inspiring, powerful moment for her, both as a character and as a conclusion of the story, and for me as an audience member. Instead, it came across as "meh". It didn't feel earned, it didn't feel like the movie was building up to that moment. @Spidey_62 said it very well: "making movies that really have nothing to say besides to push that next product". I usually have no problem with that in the MCU because they have been doing it very well while weaving it in with the story at hand. But "Captain Marvel" just felt like an obligatory film they had to do so that people wouldn't be confused as to who she is when she appears in "Endgame".

Kinda sad that my favourite part is the mid-credits scene, which happens after the movie. But oh well, glad there are some of y'all who liked it! Bring on Endgame!

There is a description of the scene shown to shareholders on marvelstudiosspoilers that actually places a lot of characters in certain place

Should we be worried that the movie they release on 4k right before endgame is the first avenger? The beginning and the end.

We have years of mcu x men and fantastic four movies ahead of us. I'm riding this out until I'm old and grey my friends.

Remember, after endgame, we all should be exited for 2020 Nolan's next movie

No. After Endgame the next movie I'm excited about is John Wick: Parabellum. The next will be Far From Home. And there will be dozens of more interesting films coming out this year alone. Others will be excited about other films. Whatever Nolan is making isn't even on the horizon yet.

The characters I'd love to see more of in Endgame are every major player who survived the dust strike. :p
Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, Nebula, Thor, and Bruce Banner are my most anticipated ones, even more than people of Wakanda who saw their king turn to dust.

Oh Hai Mark. Nice to return from my hiatus to see you post again. :)

The alleged leak on reddit seems really cool. Would love if the movie went in that direction, a lot of cool and touching moments. One of the best leaks I’ve seen.
Which leak are you talking about? Do you have a link to it?

Far from home, John wick are not on the same level with endgame excitement
The hype will not be on par with endgame, for a lot of us, until 2020, nothing very excitement for the 2019...not even star wars or whatever

Marvel movies are the only movies I generate any excitement for. I wasn't crazy excited for CM but I was looking forward to it. I don't believe 1 movie can be a set back when the MCU is 20movies deep. CM was not worse than IM2,3, Thor 3, Avengers 2 IMO. I avoid any news on movies so my excitement has to be self generated. I plan on seeing John Wick I enjoyed the other two. I actually want to see the Godzilla movie but I had no interest in the 1st and skipped that. My excitement for this Godzilla maybe because I expect some King Kong easter egg and I like Kong more than Godzilla.

Of course I will see Spider-Man, looking forward to maybe excitement will build after Endgame is done.

Dark Phoenix is meh since X-Men will get rebooted once Disney gets it back. This movie is just a movie nothing is getting built from it.

Anyone think Carol may help Banner/Hulk.

Yon-Ragg often talked to her about controlling her emotion and power. In the final act when she is falling she takes that deep breath to and calmed down. Maybe she has some tips for Banner to bring Hulk out and in control.

If you google 1st and 2nd act Endgame reddit it should be one of the first few results. I really enjoyed it. Actually hoping it’s real.

I'll be curious to see if Carol has heard of Thanos. If anyone somehow knows the answer to that already; play dumb and don't tell me

Now if we're basing trailer release to that of Infinity War then the next trailer should release in about 5 days on the 15th right?

Absolutely loved the credits scene after Captain Marvel
The people at the theater gasped in awe once during the entire movie, that’s this scene.

Not sure people are so hung up on who will beat Thanos in Endgame. Defeating him mattered in Infinity War but the stake has shifted even smashing him like a pumpkin quickly won’t save the day. Also CM (solid movie btw, if one must compare I like it far more that snooze fest WW) will probably be the one who is holding off the fleet of baddies in the sky or space while the key heroes need to do whatever stuff to reverse the snap uninterrupted. That will utilize her power without overshadowing others and she can be more off scene doing the cool one two spaceships punches so the screen time focus could be on the original avengers.

I think somewhere between 25th March and 5th April is more likely, since the EW issue is coming out at the 21st. I sure hope I'm wrong through and it's released sooner!
