What's with all the ice they're standing on?? And all that snow during the Gotham city fight we've seen spy footage from???... Arnold is returning as Mr. Freeze! And Nolan is keeping it the best kept secret ever! haha

UPDATE:
A video I shot from today's shoot, Batwing from above in motion:

Just got home from a FANTASTIC shoot. Easily the highlight of the day: seeing Batman and Gordon having a scene together. They were having a conversation and then Gordon pats Bats on the shoulder and walks off. I'm a straight as can be, but Bale in the Batsuit looks sexy.

Best shot I could get considering PA's were on our butts: Batman is on the upper left, Gordon next to him (hard to see)

The Batwing before it was moved away and tucked in the back under wraps. Got a great video in motion as well!

Just did some googling...

"The Dark Knight" was 185 mill... "The Dark Knight Rises" is 250 mill!!!!!???? Tell me that's not true!?... This has got to be the most expensive movie ever
Nolan will definitely go under that. Inception was marketed as having a $200 million budget but the reported budget after release was $160 million.

And yeah, Pirates 3 was $300 million. :funny: Although they filmed concurrently with Pirates 2 so they probably shared the cost of $600 million equally between them. It was that expensive mostly because all the CGI always needed to be done yesterday. Not sure how it is in SFX but my friend in sound gets double overtime. :hehe:

Beautiful. Do we think this scene is towards the end of the movie?

Certainly could be the ending since that's how the last two movies ended. And if this is the ending it means no new batsuit since that's still the same one.

****damn paps, man!!

There was a lot of them on 4th with huge lens. Yeah, they definitely had great views even though they were far.
They didn't get the Batman/Gordon dialogue scene, though :P

I don't know, tbh this could be at literally any point in the movie. But if their still shooting when Gordon pats Batman on the shoulder I think there is a better chance of it being it the end. Its like he's saying "Well done".

Wow we see batman and Gordon together and we immediately think ending? Interesting.

It is a lovely scene, but seriously, we have NO idea if it's the ending. Sometimes the speculation on these boards is ridiculous.

If this movie was going to end with Batman and Gordon, it had damned better happen on the top of MCU, with the newly built bat-symbol.

On a frozen riverbed below a bridge? No thanks.

No matter how you feel about the quality of the movie, it did look very expensive. So $300 million is not that big of a shock.

I hear any movie that involves a great deal of scenes on the ocean tends to get more expensive than the rest - namely Water World. The money goes into the water pool and protective equipment for cameras/crew to be on the water.

I hope majority of that budget for TDKR goes into spectacular effects that're going to blow the audience away... from what we've seen I think they are.

Dammit the TDK costume pops up again. :(

Hope for a new costume for Batman dwindling. :waa:

of course the studio would say that it was 160. they dont like the 200 number.you dont think he got 40 millions under budget? yes i could understand 10-20. but 40? never. never.

The studio will always underreport it, and the media will always overreport it. :funny: It's probably somewhere in the middle.

I was just pointing out that TDKR likely will not ultimately need the full $250 million number that's been floating around. :oldrazz:

Nolan definitely doesn't seem to be holding any punches with TDKR though.

studios dont just overbudget a movie like that. they like to make a movie as cheap as they can get. paychecks from all the actors went up from BB to TDK. now that TDK made over billion every agent made sure that his actor will get a alot bigger paycheck . so you have Nolan,Bale and Oldman who will get payed a lot of money.A LOT. then you have a lot of known actor with small roles. plus the most action packed batman movie. plus pacheck in general go up with years. things are more expensive ththen 6 years ago.

250 millions for a second sequel and after TDK is not a lot. its a normal number IMO

There won't be a new and it's not too bad looking here. In fact, I've never disliked it that much.

And yet we don't know anything about the story.

He does bring it sort of back, a great legendary actor once said...
