The Dark Knight Rises OFFICIAL: Batman in Los Angeles - Part 3

To the board member who said that watching Jonathan Crane as a Judge would take him out of the movie because it was a role that should of gone to the joker, well I have to say that it would be more fitting for the joker in an animated series, than it would be for Nolans Batman.

Joker worked alone, hence he would not be in cohoots with Bane in the destruction of Gotham. On the other hand, Crane has worked with LOS before and of course if the opportunity came up he probably would again.

SHH leads to info leaking on other sites, now it's all over the FB page and other tdkr fan sites. Doesn't really matter where it comes from. It makes perfect sense!

Yes, but you have failed to make any kind of logical connection from the leaking and publicizing information (via SHH) and the affect it has on job prospects for SHH forum members.

What in all hell is going on?! xD

Some of that leaked info sounds horribly cheesy, and other parts of it sounds really kick-ass, but seriously Gotham, it's time to contact the U.S. Army for back-up!

Yes, but we don't know the extent to which the "Judge" is in cahoots with Bane. Perhaps he's just taking advantage of a chaotic situation, which the Joker certainly would have done. Bane has let the madmen do what they will, so Judge/Scarecrow/Joker are going wild and having fun with it.

Just because the Joker primarily worked alone in "TDK," does not mean he wouldn't work with another villain on any given plot. He just wouldn't take second-stringer status. Nor would he pass up the opportunity presented by the consequences of another villain's actions (like Two-Face).

What if the Army won't go because it's
*puts on sunglasses*
No Man's Land
*YYYYYEEEEAAAAHHH*
:awesome::awesome::awesome:

Ledger aside, I think the question on everyone's mind for this one will be is what exactly is the Joker up to during the events that take place in TDKR?

Obviously at the end of TDK, the Joker is considered the biggest threat to Gotham and most certainly Batman. I don't think the character would appreciate some guy like Bane taking over the city and calling all the shots, especially after what the Joker pulled.

It's going to be difficult to accept if the film just completely abandons any explanation about the Joker. Yeah, I know they can't recast, I know Ledger is dead but as far as the story goes, the Joker is still out there somewhere (just as he is in Batman Begins).

The Joker got captured at the end of TDK. Remember the SWAT guys arrive while he's dangling there laughing about what he's done to Harvey.

Joker is presumably in Arkham now. I'm going to call BS if Bane breaks out Arkham as well as Blackgate and Joker's nowhere to be seen. If Scarecrow is free then Joker should be as well. There better be some mention as to why Joker's not there reveling in this chaos.

Yeah, exactly.

I wonder how everyone would feel if we found out that between TDK and TDKR the Joker was declared sane and got the death penalty.

So much for being "destined to do this forever".

Neither Joker or Scarecrow were insane.

Neither would be in blackgate

The last shot are the guys gathering around Joker while dangling. One of them probably just pulled the trigger. Or cut Batman's line and let him fall. :o

I assume you mean Arkham? That's how I always thought of it, just didn't have the guts to speak up. With the whole subplot of criminals claiming asylum in BB being sabotaged by Batman, it would feel a bit backward IMO for the villains to be sent to Arkham, especially with Nolan's interpretation where they don't seem insane. Doesn't seem like something that would happen after Batman's influence.

Not saying they would be in Blackgate either, mind.

I meant Arkham.

and you're exactly right. A whole subplot of BB was having criminals go to actual prisons for their crimes instead of pleading insane.

Also the crimes Joker and Scarecrow committed were felonies. There's nothing necessary to them staying in Gotham prison.

"You'll be in a padded cell forever"

Joker was headed for Arkham.

Batman was just speaking.

Joker was crazy, not mentally unfit to stand trial and serve time in a prison

Jonathan Nolan on all the leaked spoilers...

"It was great because we were working [on Person of Interest]. So that was the only way I was able to get down to set was to watch it on YouTube!"

"Yeah, I think the goal with those movies is just to make something so...You know, Chris loves to shoot on these IMAX cameras, these massive cameras. As soon as you release something in the theaters, like a trailer, people go in and they record it with their iPhone or a camera, and they put it online. But when we first released that IMAX prologue for The Dark Knight, the image was so big that no one could record the whole thing with their camera. So you have one YouTube video of the top half of it and another YouTube video of the bottom half."

"I think the goal with those movies and the thing that Chris is doing and just kicking ass with is making a movie so big that you couldn't possibly fit all of it. Even in tiny little pieces, you still wouldn't get a sense of the scale of it. I saw a little bit the other day, and the scale is just vast."

So if he's not in either Arkham and BG, where did they locked him?

Well I kind of like small cameos, like Zsasz.
Maybe something like a laugh in the background while the patients are breaking out. (If Bane also frees the Arkham inmates)
Or maybe just mention that the Joker escaped too.
Or just show him waist down, strolling out of the front gate while laughing. (I'm sure they have alternate takes of Ledger to pull this off. The laugh, I mean.)

As I said, I kinda like those small things. Just to remind everyone he's still there. He doesn't have to have impact on the story.

"Solitary in a Plot Hole"

I like that, makes perfect sense!! :woot:

I agree with Stelze, I love some of these little cameos, in fact I hope that during the jail break or after, you get to see Zsasz again and he has more markings on his body, like he's been back at work if you get what I'm saying. Also, Daggett Industries being included excites me, what are the chances that there will be at least a mere mention of Clayface? I know it would be hard to protray him on screen in a realistic world feel such as Nolans, but if anyone can pull it off its Nolan lol.

Jonathan Nolan on all the leaked spoilers...

Ok, it's official - nobody should feel bad or guilty about spying on or filming the shooting, because we're doing Jonathan Nolan a service! The man's got to see how his movie is coming along!
