It's great having Morrison Batman back. I'm hoping for no more delays.
-Oh and one of the quotes translates is from Federico Garcia Lorca pertaining to duende. It reads,
"The Goblin, on the other hand, doesn't come if he sees no chance of death, if he doesn't know what's creeping inside the house, if he doesn't have the certaintity that he will deserve the branches that we all carry and that don't have, that wont have, comfort."

-With what little Spanish I could pick up it was mostly describing El Gaucho as an Argentinian Bruce.
-El Papagayo is a very old Batman villain from the 50's. [BLACKOUT]Too bad he's dead.[/BLACKOUT]
-Thought the old British heroes were neat. [BLACKOUT]Too bad they're dead.[/BLACKOUT]
-Oroboro is more serpent imagery that I'm guessing this has to deal with Leviathan.
Now Dr. Daedalus (Greek for cunning worker) has a whole well of meaning. First Daedalus appears in the writing of Homer as a creator of a wide dancing ground for the dancing god Adriane. He is also the designer of the Labyrinth for the minotaur of Crete. Now according to the Knight Daedalus was trapped and also Daedalus leads to them[BLACKOUT] El Sombrero[/BLACKOUT] a maker of traps and such. Daedalus himself would be imprison in a tower later. I wouldn't be surprised if we get some James Joyce references.
Morrison also referenced Jorge Luis Borges which again is a plays a lot into the themes of the issues and it seems most of Morrison's writing.

Snap the article references gauchos. Also one of Borges's books is entitled Labyrinths and his writings deal with fictional writers.
This issue sounds really interesting looking forward to reading it today
