Ok, I thought JH had this contest in the bag this week with Hippy eliminated from being able to win the main prize for Round 1...BUT, if Kytrigger can win all three of his matches, he will tie JH for that honor.

So, what happens in case of a tie? Best head to head record determines the winner, just like in sports. AND, JH and Ky have faced each other only once in Round 1, which was Photon vs. Metalhead. Ky won that match, 13 to 2, with Photon beating Metalhead. SOOOO, if Ky wins all 3 matches and JH loses his one match, Ky can actually come away with the big prize.

Here is how next week plays out. JH has a tough match, but two of Ky's are pretty darn tough, too:

BRACKET 1: Ronan(KYTRIGGER) vs. Living Lightning(MIDNIGHT ICE)
BRACKET 2: Iron Lad(KYTRIGGER) vs. Monet St. Croix(ICEMAN/PSYLOCKE)

JH's match:

BRACKET 6: Moonstone(HARLEKIN) vs. Bishop(JEWISHHOBBIT)


Also, the worst record prize is still very open, with Wolverine25th, Zoken, MidnightIce, and DarkHellRider all having a chance for the booby-prize. (Whether Wolverine's participation in the end knocks him out of eligibility for winning would be determined by JH or myself. Obviously, Trigger and Powder aren't eligible.)

Battle will be Marvel 1602, in the New World. There will be no technology, you'll be placed in the forest area (water from creeks and animals will be around, of course, but no humans), and it will be about a 2 mile radius to fight in.

While I doubt I can presuade everyone that Living Lightning could actually stand a chance of winning this one, I believe he has chance, a small chance but sometimes that is good enough. What sucks for Ky is the fact that with three matches, you'd think there would be a pretty good chance at least one would have been against someone who doesn't debate...or who doesn't put up much of an argument. (Heck, my two matches last week were uncontested.) But, all three will probably have him debating on a daily basis. (We can't all be as lucky as Hippy has been this last month.)

Dang it... why can't I ever go against any of the multiple no-players, someone easy like Powder, or Hippy!!!! Okay, so all I have to do is win my match and Ky lose one. Bishop and Moonstone isn't one of those matches that would be an extreme upset if Bishop won and I've pulled off more difficult. I'll have to study Moonstone though, as I've never read anything with her in it.
