How many characters do I have left? I'll be back to resume control over them from the quarter finals onwards

It ends right now!!!!

Just kiddin'. Ummm, why don't we just have it go through the weekend. We're into Round 4, and everyone should get to speak their minds about these great matches. The schedule is so wacky, so many of us now have obligations we didn't when this thing started many months ago, I think it's best to give a decent amount of time, especially since we're getting into some great, great matches.

Plus, you guys have a great weekend. Tonight, I'm going to the Mariner's game with (yep, you've read this correctly) my two kids, my ex-wife, her boyfriend, and his daughter. My ex and I still have a relationship where we still see each other every weekday, are still decent friends, and her bf has a bit of trouble with that. We acknowledge it's very unusual for ex's to still be friends and hang out, and I have absolutely no interest in my ex romantically....but, he gets a bit jealous, I guess. I'm hoping by getting together with him he sees that a bit better. The guy is a fellow comic collector; so, we have a bit in common. The only problem will be that I'm really very shy and awkward in social situations, especially with new people. My friends are generally people who can talk and talk, and I can just listen. They are also aware that many times I just don't have much to say. I'm hoping everything will go ok tonight.

After that, I want to see Knocked Up. And, Waitress is showing about 30 miles away, and it's movie I've been wanting to catch.

Hmmm....hope Prime's ok...haven't heard from him in a while.

I am good, work has been a little busy so my mind was elsewhere last week, sorry I wasn't able to compete and vote. I promise to vote this week.

To tell you the truth I really did not care in any way about Stryfe or Luke Cage, even if Stryfe is powerful enough to win. I will try my luck with Lord Templar and Psylocke in the later rounds. Still pissed at losing Meggan.

Sadly, I knew the only way I'd probably win the Stryfe match was if you didn't debate. I made up one somewhat plausible debate concerning Korath vs. Sersi...but, even I knew I was on shaky ground with it.

I should have given you mention I wasn't able to debate, sorry about that.

Yay, it's friday and I got my debates all up and going, so I don't have to really worry about that or work until Monday! I don't know if I mentioned it here or not, but that book I've been writing for years, I decided to drop it (only 2 1/2 chapters from the end) because I realized it needs rewritten severely and would never be published as is, especially as a first attempt, and I don't want to spend forever rewriting it and nothing come of it... so I put it on hiatus. I've been planning another book for a few years and heavily over the past month or so, and just last night I actually started the writing process of it. So I've stoked to keep working on it. I'm happy because it's simpler, shorter, and actually has a strong message and goal to it... and it's a stand alone story, not needing a sequal to tell the story. I plan on working on it all weekend.

Oh, and next weekend I'm going to be on a camping trip from Friday to Sunday with some guys. Just thought I'd throw that out there, I'm excited.

I hope this camping trip doesn't involve hottubs. :o You know, that little figure of a guy with his mouth open really looks kind of bad.

I hope you finish your first book, JH. There is a book my mind that I've been wanting to do for quite some time; but, I'm a humongous procrastinator, as you guys can tell with the lateness of my packages. One day, though, I'll do it. And, there wouldn't be a need to get it published. Sometimes we just have to do things for ourselves, it seems.

so, how awkward would it have been if you and your ex were put up on the "kiss me" screen they do at games now between innings?

Ha ha, Ky. How droll.

Yesterday went alright. I was hoping to get to talk; but, my ex's boyfriend overslept and arrived about 40 minutes after the 1st inning started...then, my boy wanted to leave in the 8th inning, because the ferry at night has a 10:30 then a 12:30 a.m. schedule back to the city our car is parked...the two hour wait is too long for him between, and the game was pretty long. Oh well, maybe a next time.

I'll keep debates open for a few more hours. If you think you are going to put in a final debate, either let me know here or PM me.

Ok...I know Hippy is having a rebuttal coming in the next hour or so. We'll keep debating open until 12:00 my time. That's still 3 more hours.

I just heard the new pumpkins track :(

WTF!?!?!?!?!

When did one of the best, tightest bands of the nineties start kicking out sprawling hair metal wankathons? :cmad:

Definitely the hardest week ever this season in deciding who to vote for. Durok vs. Gravitron, Black Panther vs. Savage Hulk, Wallflower vs. Man-Wolf, Scarlet Spider vs. Mr. Sinister, Vengence vs. Exodus, Enchantress vs. Iceman, and Apocalypse vs. Her all had me questioning my initial judgements. I still can't decide between Scarlet Spider and Mr. Sinister...and I think 5 of those matches were so well debated I switch my initial votes.

Great job everyone, and real good debates this week in my matches versus Wiegeabo and Jewishhobbit. (I know JH and I both know in our minds that our character would win their match for the reasons we both gave.)

If I don't get all my voting in tonight, I'll try to get the rest in tomorrow. The annoying neighbors called the law on our dogs for the second day in a row on mostly bogus reasons (even the cop admits). However, the cop did notice that our dogs' tags were out of date and suggested that we get some type of shelter for them since our previous one was destroied this past winter due to a heavy snow (and the makeshift one we had didn't work well). He gave us until Monday to have both done so I'll be spending the next few days building a makeshift doghouse for two large dogs. I leave Friday on a hottubless camping trip and have to have it done before then. So yeah, hopefully I'll get all my voting in, but we'll see.

Well, got my voting in. I didn't think I'd do it all tonight, but I got into it and lost track of time and how tired I am. A lot of great matches. Well, I'm off to bed. I have to pull he lumber for an entire house tomorrow, which takes hours and hours, so I have a long day ahead of me.

What the hell. I completely missed the Hulk match this week. I know this is asking allot but Harlekin would you be willing to postpone it until next week. I really apologise but I had no idea he was in play and I hat to lose him without even a debate.

I did not even see it and spent all my time debating Durok and Sinister which I thought were my only matches.
