The Dark Knight Official Critics Reviews of TDK

Here's a very negative review, he starts with the "good stuff" and then moves on to the "bad stuff" (as he puts it).

Have mercy with the guy fellas, his e-mail: [email protected]
Why did you post his email if you wanted us to have mercy on him? :oldrazz:

Clearly the guy didn't get it. Can't have 'em all.

I can actually agree with many of those criticisms against the film. However, they weren't enough to damper the experience in the least.

Sounds like Joker needs to pay this critic a visit. Put a smile on his face, or something.

I actually agree with this guy. Heath Ledger was a decent Joker, and the Two-Face makeup was pretty cool, but there were so many jump-cuts and cut-aways that I had to strain my eyes to keep up most of the time, and there were way too many explosions and car crashes. These things don't build suspense; they just make the audience dizzy and confused. Also, in addition to the numerous plot holes, there was the decision to kill off one of the richest characters in comics after only fifteen minutes of screen time.

All in all, an okay movie but it could have been better, and the fact that one of its main stars died before the film was released shouldn't intimidate people in giving only positive reviews.

Only a fool would think this has gotten the praise it has just because Ledger croaked.

Heh...This movie is not for everyone. No big deal. The only opinion that matters most is your own. Whether Heath died or not is irrelevant as I thought he gave a great performance. I seriously love and enjoyed the hell out of this film.

I honestly think WB is playing a joke on some of these critics to keep the movie from getting nothing but great praise (every movie needs its detractors). So instead of showing them the real movie they show them some farce of a movie that they threw together (Scene from Batman and robin spliced with scenes from Gili.) just to mess with a few critics.

I don't understand how one could say that the law enforcement in TDK were depicted as "incompetent." Sure, the aggressive determination that betrays Jim Gordon's more subdued exterior kind of contrasts the other officers in his unit, but there's little stupid cop behavior to be found.

198/210 at RT... 9 more positive reviews with no negative reviews and it reaches 95% :)

How many movies on RT have 200+ reviews counted? And will they leave them all on there? Seems everybody wants to give their thoughts on the thing, in writing. And at this point, it's not even that there's much of a debate regarding its quality.

Iron man had 213 reviews...
Spiderman 2 had 229 reviews
Spiderman 3 had 227 reviews..

Let's hope it gets it! We all know it deserves it!!!:woot:

^ Truely, this movie is so far out in praise that these little negative reviews doesn't bother me!... The movie is one hell of a hit!

(I'm sure even empire strikes back had its fair share of negative reviews...go figure!)

True THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK was praised less than STAR WARS (hence why it never went on to figure in the Oscars major categories as well as it's predecessor did Best Picture etc) when it was released back in 1980. Only in the years since has it's critical reputation grown.

I hate the Daily Mail. As soon as I read that review I just guessed that the film must be amazing. (Not seen it yet, it's out in Britain this weekend).

They are a reactionary bunch of twits who think that the Uk is turning into a third world country and all that nonsense. I can't believe they said that the film condones terrorism. They are singularly unable to see the world through anything other than their simplistic black and white prism. Given what I know about Nolan's films, it's not hard to see that a film like the Dark Knight would be too much for them to handle.

They are like the American site Capalert (except that they are a proper newspaper which people take seriously).

So I wouldn't worry too much about their review.

Unbelievable...

Look, Star Wars: A new Hope, is a fun movie... But we all know (or SHOULD know) that Empire Strikes Back is a 10 times better movie then the first!... Truely, Empire is one awesome flick, and the darker aspect and the serious turn it suddently took (much to people's surprise I'm sure), was AWESOME!... Jedi is just as good as Empire, just in a different way... Which brings me to my next point. IF Nolan decides to make batman 3, we can only hope that it's just_as_good as The Dark Knight, simply in another way! (having it be BETTER would be a ****ing miracle!)... Surely it can't be darker!?
