I'm probably late on hearing about this, but it seems all of the "alternate endings" on the upcoming X3 DVD have been revealed. None of them deal with Cyclops.

I can't believe they even filmed that lame ending where Logan goes back to cage fighting.

I can. It makes a perfect ending to the "saga" of:

WOLVERINE

and his little mutie sidekicks

Haha, you always amuse me with that Kuro.

It sums up perfectly what X3 is about. While I know you feel X1/X2 were the Wolverine show, I believe you can agree that both movies didn't really overexpose him as X3 did.

I think we both agree that everyones stories was emotional, dark, tragic, and complex to every degree.

Nice drawing!!!..can I get a copy of it when you're done

You'll get all that plus a complete story available as both a fanfic and script-form, starting hopefully this weekend!

Thanks Vilya, and thank you all for the support and inspirations here! What you see here is our idea on the concept of "The X-Men are a team" and what we consider to be "making a stand". It's not so much who they stand against, but who they stand FOR. And the X-Men, make a stand, FOR Jean.

Take that, Penn and Kinberg!!! It's time to clean up this mess and end the nightmare. If we can turn a pointless tragedy into a story that gives the chars and us hope, then we will have succeeded!!

Yep. And for such an underused character to have this kind of following really shows how great he was with what little he was given... :cyclops:

your right Fox were stupid for what they done with him in the films, this just shows that even though he didn't as much screen time in the films he is popular then most characters.

WOW!!! I love the art work, keep up the goodwork Vilya & Ntcrawler.

X1 and 2 had too much Wolverine, especially 2, but were somewhat tolerable in spots. They weren't great movies, but they were watchable. Had Singer been allowed to do what he wanted, X3 would have been great and X4 would have been a classic. Instead we got a horrid X-Men movie and a remake of the original Superman disguised as a new movie.

Comics based movies are on the decline IMO.

all 3 movies severly overexposed Wolverine (he's a loner, anybody remember that?) in that he was the ONLY guy with one on one fights in all three movies, the camera followed him around while the team leader (Cyclops, anybody remember THAT?) was either kidnapped, riding in the backseat, or dead.

Now we have to all acknowledge that the movies are what they are. I was disappointed not just with 3, but also with 1 and 2 (tho 3 was way worse) because I thought none of them captured what the heart of X-Men was about. Still, the movies are done, no fanmade rewrites or petitions can change that now. It doesn't mean you have to stop being an X-Men fan, a Cyclops fan, or a Wolverine fan... it just means that Singer and Ratner's trilogy is over and we really never got a teamwork filled, heart wrenching and epic X-Men movie. We will, someday. Until then... there are plenty of other mediums for an X-nut to get his or her fill.

They are calling that crap alternate endings? They are not "alternate", they are barely missing scences (some even shown at the trailer) and all are 30 seconds (and Loagn's is 1:32). They can keep their little DVD where the sun don't shine. (like on the shelves of blockbuster, where I know I won't touch it...)

Im hoping DVD sales hit's them hard and bad

I thought X1 showed quite a bit of Cyclops. Maybe not as much as we were hoping for, but his depiction in X1 in my opinion was very true to the comics and wasn't wasted.

What disappointed me is that his best scenes were the deleted scenes.

X2, to some extent I agree, however his disappearance served the story of a team that was in pieces and needed to unite with a common enemy. Another thing that disappointed me is that Xaviers/Scott's best scenes were deleted too.

I kind of wish that they used the Xavier overpowering Jason scene instead of the one we got.

I think the best example of teammwork in X1 was the end of Liberty Island where Cyclops manages to save Logan/Rogue by taking out Magneto. He was telling Logan off, he briefed the team on how to infiltrate Liberty Island, giving out orders while flying the plane, and then took the last shot ignoring Jean's pleas to wait.

So he was there, just not in the same fashion that he is in during the X-Men comics or the animated series.

But isn't the message of such an ending basically "Wolverine hasn't learned jack"? :O
